Great suggestions on teaching students how to listen. Especially the part about not expecting them to know how. It's a point of frustration for many teachers .
Yes, it really is. Nowadays, we must operate under the belief that everyone needs to be taught everything. The days of people knowing how already have passed and kids are becoming so reliant on technology that they are losing the ability to figure things out and solve problems. However, they can be taught!
