Bible teaching: The Lord hates all abominations, and they are not loved by those who fear him. Ben Sira 15:13

The Book of Proverbs in the Bible gives a beautiful teaching about the nature of God and those who love him with goodness, and it does so with these wise words: "The Lord hates all abominations, and they are not loved by those who fear him" Ben Sira 15:13.
This phrase explains that God rejects all abomination, that is, he rejects everything that is contrary to his own wisdom, and this is so because God is the perfection in the highest degree, no imperfection can be attributed to the creator of all things, as Jesus said: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48.
And this can be seen at the beginning of the Bible, in the Book of Genesis, when Cain killed his brother Abel. The Lord accepted Abel's offering because he offered him the best he had, but he rejected Cain's offering and as a consequence, Cain became angry with Abel and killed him. God rejected not only the crime itself but also the planning of it, because Cain revealed the thoughts of his heart, and so God condemned the sin of Cain. For God, murder is an abomination because it is an act contrary to his spiritual law, the truth, the life, and the compassion.
Wisdom brings with it an edifying, progressive, and compassionate thought, and God accepts everything that is harmonious or compatible with this. God seeks order and harmony in all things, But it is a reality that in the face of this spiritual fact, men, due to their imperfections, constantly seek problems.
And another example of this teaching of Ben Sira is the parable of the prodigal son in the gospel of Luke (Luke 15:11-32). A man had two sons, the story goes, and one asked for his inheritance in advance to lead an easy and comfortable life, and so the father gave his inheritance to the son. For that God-fearing father, the path that the son had chosen was an abomination. And not because the choice of the son was in itself a sin, because asking for the inheritance was a right that he could exercise, that son had chosen a path contrary to the law, to the wisdom of God.
