Americans Now Spend More on Taxes Than Food and Clothingā€”Combined

A troubling new report released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that Americans spent more on taxes last year than they did on food and clothingā€”combined. As the report shows, this problem shows no signs of slowing as the average Americanā€™s rate of taxation is increasing at a staggering rate.

As CNS News reports, in 2016, according to BLS, ā€œconsumer unitsā€ (which include families, financially independent individuals, and people living in a single household who share expenses) spent more on average on federal, state and local taxes ($10,489) than they did on food ($7,203) and clothing ($1,803) combined ($9,006).

Instead of realizing they are taxing Americans, quite literally out of their clothes, the state has been increasing the rate every year.

The average tax bill for American ā€œconsumer unitsā€ increased from $7,423 in 2013 to $10,489 in 2016, according to data released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That is an increase of 41.13 percentā€”in only three years.

Whoa. I never saw it that way! I live in California and find that it is already expensive. Student loans, health insurance, cost of living, kids, etc... I was brought up as one of six in my family. Now as dad, I have two kids, a toddler and infant, our bills is getting higher. I wished I could have a bigger family but with the way things are, I may have to settle with two. =( sad face)

It's sad when you think about it, isn't it? Imagine what humanity could achieve when we didn't have states meddling in our interactions with other people...

Luckily the freedom movement is growing, and people are starting to see the reality of government: it's nothing more than an organization that uses force to achieve its goals. Your consent is optional.

Glad to see you stumbled across this video, brother. I hope you'll be interested in researching some more about the philosophy of individual freedom. Check out these people: @adamkokesh, @kafkanarchy84, or look for some books from this infograph:
