Weekly Choice: Roti Canai at Ariba Maju

Few days ago, I and hubby went to Kota Kinabalu city to meet our insurance agent. We finished about lunch time so we went to a restaurant nearby called Ariba Maju Restaurant. The Restaurant is a Halal one.

As you can see from the above picture, the restaurant is located at a corner lot giving it a spacious place to put tables and chairs.

Here you can see Menu available in the restaurant. You can choose food from this menu or just take the ready-cooked food on displayed.

I ordered this Roti Canai that comes with Curry and Dal sauce. Roti Canai is a simple meal made from dough which is mixed of Ghee, flour, water and sweetened condensed milk. The dough is kneaded, flattened, oiled and folded to make it so delicious to eat when cooked. To eat this meal, you need to rip them apart, either using your clean hands or using fork and spoon, and then dip them into that curries or Dal sauce.

My husband finds this Chicken liver in soy sauce taste so good. He said that this food is full of nutrients and able to help increase our body red blood supplies.

For drinks, I get this Teh Tarik panas or hot Bubble Tea. It was nice, not too sweet and thick with strong tea flavour.

Overall, I really enjoyed food we had here. The food was really good, the service was nice and friendly.
