Food Sharing #125 - Boffee Cafe @ Caves Beach, Australia

Hi Everyone,

We have some relatives visiting recently so we decided to take them down to Caves Beach as we think it is a close enough destination from Sydney to make it a day trip (approx 90 minutes drive from where we live). The weather was beautiful so we took the opportunity heading towards the beach. Once we got there, we needed to have brunch before showing them the beach so we found a nice place called Boffee Cafe in the local town centre.

Let’s have a look at the menu. There isn’t a huge selection but for the limited cafe choices we have in the area, it is not too bad. We ordered an Eggs Benny, ham and cheese croissant and a brekky burger. We also ordered coffee and tea which was much needed with the breakfast.

Here comes out food! The first thing we noticed was that massive knife right in the middle of the burger. I guess its a way to hold all the food together but really that looks pretty cool. The croissant came out nice and toast warm. Smell really fresh of butter as well! The eggs benny looked a bit sad now compared to the two meals. I did though ask for the sauce to be on the side which maybe it looks a bit plain compared to the rest of the others.

The taste of the food was delicious even my boring looking eggs benedict. It was so nice our kids had the croissant very quickly and we ordered another one. Not sure what it is but to me its nice buttery smell on that bread. The burger was substantial with the right balance of everything even though it looked massive.

Their service here was great though the food did take a while to come out as it had a really small kitchen. There was plenty of seating on the street as the cafe is really tiny. Plenty of street parking and the best part is for free! If you are in the area, do come by and try the food out!
