[Review] Lamb Steak like no other (Jin1926, 진1926)

Not to be biased, but Barbeque is such a commonly enjoyed and well prepared meal in Korea, that it is inevitable to not handpick a restaurant from this country.

Jin1926 is not a Michelin-starred or high end restaurant, rather it's your neighborhood friendly place where you can stop by for a drink or a quick meal, but still gain quality that you pay for.
With a modern appeal, the restaurant is simple and is well lit for a good night out.

There are counter seats available with your own personal coal grill, and a server present to cook your lamb as it traps the meaty juice within. Also all seats are completed with a grill and a smoke vacuum above, as Barbeque as we know creates way too much smoke. You do not want to wear your dry-cleaning necessary dress or suit to any Barbeque restaurant as it will soak up all the smell and will need to head to the dry cleaners right after, no mercy.

Specifically focused on serving lamb, Jin1926 procures prime lamb meat cooking up tenderness on all corners. We tried the lamb sirloin which was served with various vegetables (tomatoes, eggplants, cabbages, etc) cooked with the lamb. Veggies grilled on lamb oil oozing out from the meat heightens the taste.

Their menu is comparatively cheaper given that lamb meat is expensive in Korea. But not to worry, as lamb isn't the only option you have here. Other side dishes are also well thought out and inventive that we saw the true entrepreneurial spirit the owner had behind the menus.

These quickly sautéed salted pollack eggs are just the right addition to a shot of soju. Slight additions of mayonnaise, wasabi and onions make the smell of the sea resonate in your mouth.

Visit to have a shot of soju with these scrumptious dishes. Geonbae~
