How're You Tasteemians!

Since it first opened, several decades ago, I have eaten satay at Apaleh restaurant dozens of times, and have never found a different taste. This is, the consistency of taste affects everything. I have never been bored, even though I can only visit this restaurant several times a year.

Well, guests from government officials and entrepreneurs never forget to park their cars in front of this restaurant, when they travel to Banda Aceh or to Bireuen district. Beef satay served here has been famous throughout Aceh.

Likewise with me, after I decided to take my wife , @innafanz to take part in the event at a civil service test in Banda Aceh on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. That means I have stopped at this restaurant for the umpteenth time.

OPEN 24 HOURS

In a tiring journey at night, the APALEH board was clearly and glistening, obeying my stomach which had begun to growling. Ah, I don't want to waste my dinner time just because I missed this restaurant. I went straight in and ordered two servings of beef satay complete with chili.

What time, midnight, it's morning, or leave when mealtime hasn't arrived, then don't feel that you won't get a chance to eat here, because APALEH is open for 24 hours, so whenever you arrive in Geureugok District, you will not be disappointed.

I once asked one of the servants at this satay restaurant, how much meat they spent per day and where they always got it. They replied that they always bought a cow for one day. Because they always spend as much as 85 kg of beef every day. I feel amazed!

Then, they can use one cow for several other types of food. Like:

  • The meat they use to make satay
  • They can make beef bone soup
  • The gizzard and beef liver can be roasted differently

So, they can use one whole cow in their restaurant, nothing is wasted, You can order a bowl of rib soup or other parts of beef that we can eat.

The meat is tasty and tender

At APALEH, they bake satay with selected charcoal, so don't ever think that the satay will smell of smoke. It will not happen. Coupled with secret spices that will spoil our tongue as long as we eat here, and we will remember this satay restaurant when we go home.

I once imagined eating here when it rained, wanting to immediately turn on the car and drive here. :)

Three menus in one serving

When we order one serving here, then the waiter will serving 3 different menu plates. Among them:

  • 15 skewers in one plate (can be for one or two people)
  • A plate of peanut chili sauce
  • A bowl of soup containing beef fat
  • And of course a plate of white rice (this doesn't belong to the category, because it can be ignored).

As I explained in the title above, the taste of satay here never dies, and now the owner of Satay Apaleh has opened his branch, and expanded the restaurant space in Geureugok, Aceh.

For one portion of satay here, sell at an average price of IDR 35000 / US $ 3. And if we order it, they will calculate it in the number of skewers, the more we have the satay, the greater the cost.
