A not so environmentally friendly breakfast place

I don't do breakfast, or to be precise, I don't do early morning breakfast when I go out. Luckily one of my favourite breakfast place, i-True closes at 2pm, that means I can go there for brunch.
i-True is located on the corner of the road. The entire shop front is open, and there's a whole bank of windows on one side, it very airy and bright inside. Although this is more of a fast food breakfast joint, its still very comfortable and you don't feel as though you have to leave immediately after you finish your meal.
There were a bunch of kids at this table when i arrived , I think they've been sitting there for quite a while as when I arrived they'd already finished their meal and were chatting. i-true is very affordable, so it's popular with students and the youngsters.
This place opens from 6am till 2pm. They do typical Taiwanese local breakfast like pancake rolls and turnip cake, and sandwiches and burgers. I opted for the normal burger, and my wife went for the charcoal burger. She seems to be hooked on them and always order them if its on the menu. Personally I don't think it tastes very different but she says it healthy!
Our drinks came first, iced cold tea. Its not the most environmentally friendly way to serve them, some places still haven't caught up with the environmental factor yet. That's quite sad.
And here's our breakfast. My burger and my wife's charcoal burger. Her's was a set that came with chips and salad. Everything was freshly made and thats important for burgers otherwise they go all soggy after a while. My burger came is an open envelope which is actually quite convenient so it doesn't get too messy. Though I can't help but feel the envelope doesn't need to be that big. Yes, I've got my environmental hat on again.
That said, both burgers and chips were nicely done. They went a bit heavy handed with the dressing in the salad and we ended up scrapping one really big spoonful of mayonnaise from that little bowl.
Next time i think I'll skip the salad set.

Charcoal burger? How does it taste? That's very interesting. I happened to bump into charcoal ice cream last week. But this is the very first time I've read about charcoal burger. Hahaha! 😁😊
Thank you for an interesting review. Have a beautiful day. 😊
My wife says it doesn't really taste any different, maybe it's just a fad. How was your ice cream?
