Novelty dim sum restaurant
I came to FL Fusion for lunch last week, and was very surprised by the quality of the restaurant overall.
It's a rather unusual setting, because on the face of it, the pastel blue decor with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and mock bird cages, you'd expect this to be some sort of elegant place for afternoon tea. In fact it is a Chinese restaurant serving dim sum. I guess that's why the word fusion is in the name, though I'm not sure what FL stands for.
I arrived before lunch time, and most of the smaller tables were occupied by diners. A few of the larger tables were still available but were quickly filled up at lunchtime.
The decor at the table was quite a contrast from the restaurant. They had nostalgic style tiles on both the side of the tables and on the floor. They also had USB chargers by the table which I thought was very considerate of them. Another nod to the fusion theme.
The menu was very extensive and all the dishes were listed in the order form, you just tick what you want and hand the entire sheet to the waiter. Some of the more popular dishes had photos as well. They all looked really good, and in the end it turns out we ordered a bit too much. Never mind, there's always a doggy bag.
The signature dish here is deep fried pigeon which only cost USD3.8 each! What a bargain! It was limited to one per person, but that was fine as we wanted to try all their other dishes.
When the other dishes came, my wife was so excited because she said they looked so cute. To be honest, I'm sure all the girls and kids would agree with her. This is the dim sum platter that includes a taster of their popular dishes. The pig is a taro bun, the corn a chicken bun, the black bun with gold stripes has a custard filling, the smaller black dumpling is cuttlefish, and the white dumpling on the right is shrimp.
The custard buns and cuttlefish dumplings were so good that we ordered an extra portion. On top of that, we also ordered a portion of roast pork rice rolls, and some other dishes. The latter where good but not especially sexy so I didn't take any photos.
Although some of the dishes here were a bit of a novelty, luckily it wasn't just style over substance, and it tasted nice as well. I enjoyed my lunch here very much.

The dumplings are so cute especially that piggy.
I think that's one of their signature dishes
The buns are so adorable. The memoirs of HK reflected in the whole establishment. Novelty enriched.
Thanks!
