Steak CFU Review

Karachi is one of the cities which has great diversity in flavors and you can find food that is worth in your specific budget. When we talk about best beef steaks in Karachi many names come up but to top them all the new Steak By CFU is what everyone’s raving about! This is one of the places that has been raved about by everyone that has been there & I am going to do the same here;

Steak by Catch For You— is a very small cozy restaurant which only serves under reservations and that too they’re running a full house. They work in 3 serving slots. 8pm, 9:30pm & 11:00pm. If you wish to go eat at this establishment you need to wait a month for your reservation. THEY ARE FULLY BOOKED! The hype is real and so is the taste. The space is also small serving 25-30 people at a time and with such a crowded city all of us want to try the place out.

Got my reservation confirmed almost two weeks ago for friday night. We went there with high expectations and weren't dissapointed at all. The main thing with steaks in Pakistan are that people don't understand the concept of rare-medium and call rare steak as raw. Restaurants mostly only serve well done or medium steaks. I love my cut to be soft and juicy and so I want the meat to be medium rare.

Now when we arrived at the restaurant we were shown at our table of four. Got this menu which included chicken, beef and seafood platters. With different sides we were a little perplexed and started questioning the waiter on what would he recommend, he called the chef for a more detailed overview of what we enjoy the most. I went with their Argentiniun spice rub the cut was from the tendorloin which was nice, juicy and tender, the other two had the mexican rub and my fourth friend had the seafood platter.

Other than the steak itself the sides were also on par,
Each dish comes with all the five sides:-
*Creamed spinach - best out of all
*Parmesan truffle roasted potatoes - for me they tasted like our usual potato wedges
*Roasted vegetables with honey and balsamic vinegar glaze - not a big vegetable fan but it was well balanced and gave that crunch to the dish
*Buttered balsamic mushrooms with cheddar cheese - absolutely delicious
*Kimchi and cucumber pickle - nope it wasn't meant for me
-There were green and red sauces too served with the dish of which the names remain unknown to me as I did not bother asking when devouring my platter.
-The whole dish is then completed with an italian salad - definately that freshness is needed amidst all the spices and sauces.

The food was excellent and apart from that the ambiance of the restaurant was just amazing. The service people were really friendly and quick to respond with the food brought to us in ample time. The place wasn't overly crowded with a soothing atmosphere to relax. The main focus was actually the food and it certainly delivered.

Service 9/10
Ambiance 8/10
Price 7/10

The price was a little on the expensive side but that is what you expect with quality food. Didn't regret spending 25$ on the steak.
