Puloculinaty #69: The Taste of Tape
On the way from Banda Aceh to Bireuen, we stopped at Saree. Saree is an area in the Seulawah mountains. We usually stop here to rest while enjoying local cuisine, such as such as tape (fermented rice), potato chips, or sipping a cup of coffee.
This time we visited Cekgu Coffee Shop. The location of this coffee shop is right on the edge of the highway.
We ordered some tape and noddle. And also a cup of espresso.
The taste of tape is excellent. This food is made of rice fermented for few days. It’s wrapped by banana leaf.
Tape Saree has its own uniqueness and distinctiveness which will definitely always make its sweet taste unforgettable.
