Sweet Mixed Ice at Warung Rujak Bu Luh

It was a hot day today, I decided to have something cold and sweet. I went to a food stall called Warung Ibu Luh in Renon, Denpasar Bali. This stall served served rice cake mixed with vegatables, spicy fruit salad, and many varieties of mixed ice.

I order _es campur _or mixed ice. Usually we have this after meal. But today, I skipped main meal, and went straight to the sweet dessert.

I ordered two dessert. The Es Daluman and The Es Campur. Daluman is a kind of jelly but made of daluman leaves. The daluman itself does not have a taste. But when t is mixed with coconut milk, ice, and palm sugar, it tastes great.

Es campur is mixed of jelly, fermented cassava, carnation milik, and sugar. It taste very sweet.

The ice was on the top, I stirred so I could see the jellies and other items.

There was only one customer when I was there. So, I get my order quickly.

This stall is not a modern cafe. It is managed by the lady Bu Luh, and one helper. There are few tables on chairs in the stall. Obviously they don't expect to have a lot of customers here.

Many local usually come here around lunch time. People usually have the rice cakes, and then the spicy fruit salad, and finally mixed ice. That's the common way the local have the meal here.

There are a lot of varieties of snacks available in this stall. There were salted steamed peanuts, fruits like papaya, water melon, and jack fruit. People can just take anything they want and bring them to their own table.

After I finished the es campur, I paid 20,000 rupiah or 1.5 dollar. Well, it is a good price for one of my favorite sweet dessert.
