ALLA VIA DI MEZZO by Giorgione - Review [ENG-ITA]

[ENG] Alla Via di Mezzo is a very famous resturant in Italy, because the owner and main chef Giorgio Barchiesi is a known character in Food Italian Television. He works for a TV Program and he started in 2012 and he is known by everybody as Giorgione.

This resturant has a web site where it is possible to know the location: Montefalco is a small city near Perugia (Umbria) in the center of Italy. This place is very famous for Sagrantino that is typical wine of this region.
On the web-site it is possible to find also the telephone number: it is important to book in this way long before, because it is always full and booking is the only way to get a table. However it is not always possible to call, because only from Wednesday to Saturday after 05:00 p.m.

The resturant is not always open during the week for lunch as well as dinner, so please take a look to the web site.

[ITA] Alla Via di Mezzo è un ristorante molto famoso in Italia, perché il proprietario e lo chef capo Giorgio Barchiesi è un noto personaggio della televisione culianria Italiana. Lavora per un programma televisivo ed iniziò nel 2012 ed è conosciuto da tutti comeGiorgione.
Questo ristorante ha unsito web dove è possibile prendere visione della location: Montefalco è una piccola cittadina vicino Perugia (Umbria) al centro di Italia. Questo luogo è molto famoso per il Sagrantino, che è un vino tipico di questa regione.
Sul sito web è possibile trovare anche il numero di telefono: è importante prenotare con largo anticipo, dato che è sempre pieno e la prenotazione è l'unico modo per avere un tavolo. Comunque non è sempre possibile chiamare, perché solo dal Mercoledì a Sabato dopo le 17:00.

Il ristorante non è sempre aperto durante la settimana per pranzo e per cena e per questo per favore date un occhio al sito.

[ENG] We booked our table a month before our lunch and we arrived in Montefalco in the morning. Giorgione called us to our mobile to receive the confirm of our reservation one hour before.
We were in front of Alla Via di Mezzo some minutes before and we discovered that all the guests were waiting the 01:00 p.m. o'clock, when the resturant would be opened. The time to come in was announced by the sound of a bell, played by Giorgione.
All the guests already had their table and Giorgione told them where they should take place. The resturant is an antique oil mill from the XIX century and it has 7 rooms.
[ITA] Prenotammo il nostro tavolo un mese prima del nostro pranzo ed arrivammo a Montefalco in mattinata. Giorgione ci chiamò al nostro cellulare un'ora prima del pranzo, per ricevere la conferma della nostra prenotazione.
Eravamo di fronte Alla Via di Mezzo alcuni minuti prima e scoprimmo che tutti gli invitati stavano aspettando le 13:00 in punto, quando il ristorante sarebbe stato aperto. L'ora di entrare fu annunciata dal suono di una campanella suonata da Giorgione.
Tutti gli ospiti avevano il loro tavolo e Giorgione disse loro dove prendere posto. Il ristorante è un antico frantoio del XIX secolo ed ha sette stanze.

[ENG] There is not a menu (except for the wines) and Giorgione gives to his guests a special all you can eat entrèe where there are a lot of kind of Italian cheese, hams, sausages, soups and vegetables. Entrèe has a dedicated room where all the people can come all the time they want.
[ITA] Non c'è un menù (eccetto per i vini) e Giorgione offre ai suoi ospiti uno speciale antipasto a buffet, dove ci sono molti tipi di formaggi, prosciutti, salumi, zuppe e verdure italiane. L'antipasto ha una stanza dedicata dove le persone possono servirsi tutte le volte che vogliono.

[ENG] Giorgione changes his dishes and his recipes every day, so for the guests the menu is a surprise. However there is something of standard: always two pasta dishes and two main dishes later.

During our lunch we have eaten Tagliolini with Sagrantino Wine and Conchiglioni with Sausage Sauce. After there were Wild Rabbit with Olives and Roast Shank.

Of course we chose Montefalco Biological Wine.

[ITA] Giorgione varia i suoi piatti e le sue ricette ogni giorno, così per i clienti il menu è una sorpresa. C'è comunque qualcosa di standard: sempre due piatti di pasta e due secondi più tardi.

Durante il pranzo abbiamo mangiato Tagliolini al Vino Sagrantino e Conchiglioni al Sugo di Saliccia. Dopo abbiamo assaggiato Coniglio Selvatico con Olive e Stinco Arrosto.

Ovviamente scegliemmo il Vino Biologico di Montefalco.

[ENG] The lunch was great and I was happy at the end for the meeting and a photo with Giorgione.

The prize for this lunch was 29.00€ + drinks. So at the end we spent 34.00€ for each person.
[ITA] Il pasto è stato grandioso e sono stato felice per l'incontro e la foto con Giorgione.

Il prezzo per il pasto era 29.00€ + le bevande; così alla fine abbiamo speso 34.00€ a persona.
