Restaurant Tatemar
Hi everyone I have to explain a lot, I am Mexican and in MEXICO we have a very different kind of food for every region of the country.
This restaurant is of Oaxacan food and Tatemar means “to brown”, “pan roast” or “grill” just so you can understand the kind of food of this place.
The Mezcal is from Oaxaca so is no doubt the pairing of it with this magnificent food I don’t drink but I leave that to your consideration.
This little beautiful restaurant is infront of an artificial lake so you have a great view, you can sit in the outside if you want to enjoy the view but in the inside you have a great atmosphere with a bar and and a open kitchen so it’s beautiful too.
The food is excellent and you can have a lot of variety from the menu and you will for sure be very happy with what you order.
I usually like to order a lot of food so I can try a variety of dishes and today wasn’t an exception, we were four at the table so I have a lot of pictures to show you.
To begin in Mexico for any kind of food you have to had green and red sauce and tortillas.
As an appetizer we had today from the raw bar Shrimp Aguachile with Green Hot Chili Sauce and a Tatemar Chicken Salad.
Also as an appetizer we had a “Machete” which is a big taco with beef, chorizo and cheese, and a order of Pork tacos. You can imagine the flavor of this just looking at the pictures.
As the main course we order to share a Tatemar Octopus and a Tatemar Shrimps with the side of Rice with Shrimps.

To finish we had a three milks coffee cake which was delicious more of what I can explain.
If you come to Yucatan in Mexico you can’t miss this restaurant which is FABULOUS and has very good prices for everyone 👌

OMG, this looks all so delicious, I am getting hungry after all. I love mexican food. The hotter the better. I am used to spice up my taco dinner (self made) with Blairs Ultra Death Sauce. A very, very hot sauce. People say this is very unusual for a German. Well, it is . . . :-)

That 'Machete' look so weird. Hope it taste good. I never taste any Mexican food before. Glad you enjoyed your food. Nice post!
