A City A Story - A restaurant with a view
This restaurant commands one of the best view in Hong Kong. When you dine here, and look out of the window, you are looking at what I think is one of the, if not the most beautiful night view in the world.
Elite Dining is located on the 31st floor of a commercial building in the busy Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong. This means it is over looking the commercial district of the Hong Kong island and you get to see the neon lights of this beautiful city. The restaurant takes up the whole floor, as soon as you step out of the elevator you see the restaurant area. There is no main entrance, just a small subtle sign on one side.
Then the restaurant area opens up ahead of you. There's a seating area in the centre where you can relax and have drinks before or after dinner. But the best view is yet to come.
Don't you think this is a view that shouts glamourous, exclusive and class?
On the other side of the restaurant there is another tall window that extends to the downstairs area. That is another restuarant owned by the same group. Here they have an outdoor terrace and you can get an even better night view.
Now we've seen the view, you may be wondering what the food is like. After all, this is a restaurant. Fortunately, this place isn't style over substance. The food is as good as the atmosphere and view. I came here with my family, there were 9 of us, and we had pre ordered a menu as some of the dishes needed to be ordered in advance. I don't have the pre ordered menu as I didn't arrange dinner, but here is their standard set menu that the restaurant initially sent to us for reference. It's for 10 and 2 people respectively .
Here's two of the appetiser, fried tofu and stir fry pork ribs.
Some of the mains, fried beef with scallions, stir fry prawn, and steamed tofu with vegetables.
And this is the dish that we had to pre-order, the braised stuffed duck.
There are lots of other dishes as well, but this will be a very long post if I show all the dishes, so I've just selected a few of the photos. Actually, with such a beautiful view from the window, I spent a lot of the time gazing outside instead of focusing on the food. To be honest, you can't blame me, can you?
And finally to my favourite course, dessert. This was to be ordered off the standard menu.
We ordered a few between us. This is Chilled grass jelly in umeshu, topped with gold flakes! And sesame seed balls.
To be honest, I don't know if the food or the view from the window is more attractive here. What do you think?

Hey great to see you on tasteem! Your post is very well written and being on the other side of the world, I can actually imagine myself sitting there eating the food. I have actually been to this building before (or close by) so definitely will try to go and try when I go back to Hong Kong.
Thanks! It's a lovely restaurant, highly recommended if you're visiting Hong Kong
Both the view and dishes are attractive! 😉
Time for a trip to HK?
Stunning and scrumptious! I will surely enjoy there for an occasional pamper.
You must go there next time you visit HK Sheryl, though I have a feeling that will be a while....

Love the selection of dishes. Cantonese styled roast duck is my all time favorite, lol.
Lucklily London has some good places for roast duck as well, so you should be ok ^_^
Without doubt the most beautiful night skyline in the world. I spent a lot of time in Hong Kong a few years back and sitting at the harbour as dusk fell watching the whole island light up, follwed by the lightshow at 8 was and is something I shall cherish and never tire of. Amazing city and great post :-)
Thanks Nathan. If you've been before you will know how amazing it is!
Haha, indeed a view shouting glamourous, exclusive and class! The menu design looks nice too. Why do I see this post at midnight when my stomach is rumbling...
Ha ha! Did that keep you up?
It's like the egg and chicken... ;)
Elite indeed. The food looks amazing. The view is very good but I want to focus on my food when dining out so I say food over view ;)
Wait till you go there and check out the place yourself *_^
