STEEM Food Tours #69: Egaoya, La Trinidad, Benguet

I went out to purposefully try this Japanese Restaurant that we passed by when we went to another restaurant nearby.
This is near the strawberry fields before Ayatori Restaurant.
When I was on my way, it rained such that my shorts were wait. I was at one point and wanted to go back. I arrived there and I was the only customer. This happens a lot when I go to restaurants or cafes. I was the only customer but then more customers arrive while I am there. I like to think I am the lucky charm.
The place is bright with tile floors, simple set up of monoblock chairs. There are also private rooms if you prefer, divided by thin wooden walls.
Japanese umbrellas, paper balloons, paper mache masks and dolls adorn the place. They adorn the glass windows with some flowers
Aside from ramen, they also serve other noodles like pancit or sautéed noodles with veggies, and pasta. They also serve rice meals and their own Egaoya Rice. They even have spaghetti salad which is low in calories.
I ordered Shoyu and chose spicy. The spiciness is mild. It comes with two slices of pork and one salted egg. You can ask for add ons lile seaweed or egg but with additional price.
Overall, it is a good experience. You are first served barley tea while waiting for your order. The place does not only serve Japanese food but also local cuisine. They serve some hot and cold beverages as well.
They don't have wifi and they only accept cash.
I only waited about 5 minutes for my order to arrive. They have a disclaimer to give time for your order to be served. I set my mind waiting but I didn't have to.
The noodles is firm. The soup of the ramen is not that hot which makes it easier to eat. I like the overall taste of it is good. It is a bit salty but it may have been the spiciness also which enhances that.
The slices of pork are cooked well and tasty which makes the overall meal yummy.
It would be nice to go back and try some of their specialties just like the spaghetti salad and their chicken kaarage.
