Hot Pot Craving Weekend at Fei Fan with @enjiliew
Last weekend, due to her craving for hotpot, we went for Fei Fan Hot Pot in Subang to ease that craving. Haha, pretty amazing to see how her appetite changes from time to time :) Surprisingly, the hot pot was a buffet style, which is more economical and we can eat to our fullest. Anyway, we enjoyed the full 2 hours session and I would say we were lucky to get a place by waiting for around 10 minutes as there was a no show for a table of two at 1130.
The interior of the shop looks very neat, modern and clean. Just that the isle to take food material was a bit narrow which will caused congestion from time to time. However, due to the limited seatings for the restaurant, the congestion will just cause a temporary inconvenience for the customers.
We ordered the Ma La soup (hot spicy soup) and also Tonkutsu Soup (pork bone soup) as our hot pot and had some meat like the homemade pork ball, homeade shrimp dumplings, prok collar, pork belly, and pork intenstine. These are the "premium" items and required freezing storage which we will need to pre order with the soup. Then, we proceeded to take the other food materials from the isle. I also loved their gravies which mainly has the taste of salty and spicy. Oh ya, they served ice cream too with chocolate and vanilla flavor (free flow!).
In overall, the place was good and the food were great too. Service wise, I would rate moderate but the waiter was sharp to let us get that table which was a no show. Loved that part :P Whether or not we will be back for another session, we still wanting to go for Haidilau.
