A Normal Coffee Session at The Norm

This is my first time to come to this cafe as my wife was here last few weeks with her friends for a tea session. We went together with a mutual friend to have a light lunch there while catching up. This place is special in a way that it is situated right in an old factory, refurbished and decorated with interior landscape to look hipster-ish. In overall, the space is spacious and breathatble. Just a comment on the toilet that it is just at the side of the toilet and the ceiling are connected where you could smell the cooking when you are in the toilet. So, to me it is not that good if the chef is to get some toilet smell too.

As for the value of food, I would rate it as overrated. The food was simple and not that well thought, yet they charge quite high for the food and overall experience. Thus, we had decided this is the first and the last time to come for their food. However, it is a place where you can come to experience how they turn the place into such a functional space.

You have soft and hardscape softening and framing the internal space. Love this concept btw.

From the angle of where we sat, zoned well for customers, coffee bar and service area. Yet I do think the space is purposely intended to be not efficiently arrange.

Brie and Berry, rate at 6/10

Tiramisu, rate at 8/10, taste is superb but just the portion and the price doesn't match.

Sauteed mushroom and cauliflower, rate 4/10, not appealing and taste quite monotonous.

EB, rate 5/10 nothing special and not worth for money.
