Seladang Cafe : Drinking Coffe in Coffe Garden, Enjoying The Food With Mr. Gembel

[Hello this is me and Mr Gembel]

One of the special attractions of my birthplace is coffee. Now coffee has shown its class as something that is loved by many people. When the war conflict broke out in Aceh from 1989 to the end of 2003, coffee was really down, coffee was almost no longer a characteristic of Central Aceh. Fortunately, the conflict is over and since 2004, the coffee has triumphed again.

You should know that coffee is now a big priority, the processing and presentation of coffee in modern form has begun, coffee shops grow like mushrooms in the rainy season, modern buildings, sophisticated coffee processing machines have sprung up, but the spirit of coffee is friendly with nature like being abandoned. Well, this time I will introduce a place that maintains the concept of coffee and natural coffee. Apart from being economically profitable, this place is a mandatory destination when you visit Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh, Indonesia.

Why did I call it nature restaurant? because besides making coffee as a typical menu, this place also offers many other foods and drinks. This combination makes this place even more special. There are some features that I want to tell here, namely Coffee Drinking in the Coffee Plantation, the unique and eccentric owner, Delicious food, coffee huts and unique facilities. Well, I will introduce this place in more detail.

Drink Coffee in the Coffee Plantation.

If all this time, I always drink coffee in a coffee shop in the city, in a modern building and sometimes with a luxurious look, but I don't get it here. You will feel how simple it is to provide an amazing sensation when drinking coffee. This is the best place to drink coffee dan enjoying the foods.

When you drink coffee or eat something here and you realize that there are lots of coffee trees around you, this reminds me when I really experienced this situation in the past when I went to the coffee garden with my family. The memories of the past were repeated when I really became a coffee farmer. When the break arrived, coffee became our favourite drink at that time.

Here, you will be presented with that situation, very crowded when people order coffee with varied orders such as arabica and robusta (you can see it in the menu list), they buy coffee powder and get an explanation from the owner of this place about the presentation of coffee, the type of coffee and how to process it. I myself ordered wine coffee, it feels like wine but because it is filtered using dew water. Really unique, right?

[Hello, I'm Mr. Gembel your Barista]

The owner of a unique place.

The name of the owner of this place is Mr Sadikin, but for some reason, he is more famous with Mr Gembel (gembel in Indonesian is known as the homeless person). The appearance was very eccentric when I was in this place, he was only wearing a sarong and T-shirt, hair that was left long and not combed but was very skilled at serving coffee.

This view is very different from most business owners. But that is his trademark and when you talk to him you will find out that he understands social and political, has good knowledge and understands the law. Apparently, he is a law degree from Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh.

At the place we sat also saw a picture of him and his wife and two daughters. They were very happy in the photo, but I didn't capture it because I forgot to ask for permission.

Delicious food.

Just be sure, when you arrive at this place you will feel hungry, a cool atmosphere, good cooking aroma, and seeing some of these people here eating food ravenously, you will join in ordering it. Well, while waiting for the order to arrive, I tried to surround this place, and sure enough, this place was surrounded entirely by coffee trees and several flower models as a place to take pictures.

We ordered Fried Rice, Fried Noodles, Martabak and Grilled Sausage, but I was not lucky to capture it because when I returned to the place, the ordered food had been eaten by my children, my niece and both my brother-in-law and I was left with only a sausage. I didn't eat because I had breakfast. Seeing food that has no leftovers, a short time, I know that all orders are very delicious.

Coffee huts and unique facilities.

Here you will see several unique huts for coffee. This hut has sago palm leaves and there are wooden tables that have been modified.

Conclusion

So, my conclusion is that this place is worth visiting, it is highly recommended to be with your family and colleagues.
