Mau's Chinese review - good Indian-Chinese
Yesterday for lunch I went to a new place. It'm was called Mau' Chinese. I saw the board and immediately I felt like having some hot soup and fried rice.
The menu is very small but more for a small takeaway joint. there is seating for may be 10 people but it's come-eat-go kind of place for people work nearby.
i ordered Chicken Manchow soup and chicken fried rice.
Now this is an Indo-Chinese menu and dishes. This may not sound or taste like Chinese food because all these are Indian dishes that have drawn inspiration from tibetan food and have been modified. India has a decent settlement of Tibetans.
I was given some red chilli paste and fried noodles to add to my soup.
The food came quickly, soup first and fried rice later.
What do I think of the place and food? The place is very close to prabhadevi and parel local stations. It's small yet cozy. Small means quick service and easy access to waiters. The soup was very nice and right level of salt and spice. The fried rice tasted less salty after the soup so I ate it with the red paste. The waiter had the sense to bring the food one by one so nothing was cold when I was eating it. There is an option to get half fried rice, and full depending on your appetite. The portions are nice and well price. The entire meal cost me £2.
4 stars for food and place. I'm surelt going again.

Yeah, it's so flavourful and tasty. Absolute comfort food. In India it's been modified so much, and is regular street food as well.
