Crazy coffees of Vietnam: coconut coffee
Vietnamese people, for sure, are very creative in terms of coffee. Here coffee isn’t only delicious but also you can find it in a huge variety of beverages. For the cold days, for the hot days of for any occasion, you can have a great coffee in Vietnam!
I’ve bee writing here on Tasteem my experiences with coffees in this country. And today I would like to share with you my experience with one os the most famous coffees around… yes, the coconut coffee.
Coconut coffee: such a perfect combination
After Cà Phê Sua Da, which is the cold coffee served with condensed milk, coconut coffee is another star, especially for the hot days. Basically, this coffee is nothing more than hot coffee served with pure, creamy coconut ice cream. Coffee in Vietnam is usually very strong, which makes the bitterness of the coffee contrast very well with the sweet taste of the coconut ice cream. It’s a simple idea, in the end, joining coffee with some coconut icecream… But very good and tasty!
Not every place serves it with coconut chips… But, of course, this detail gives some crunchiness to and makes it even more delicious…
Coco coffee
Coco Coffee is a small cozy coffee located close to Bac My An Market, in Da Nang. As the name says, it’s a cafe in which the coconut coffee is their specialty. The price is around 50.000 dong (around U$2,00) which is not the cheapest coffee, but not expensive either.
The place has a nice garden where you can sit on and enjoy your coffee and some nice chat. You can also have some work done if you want. It’s very calm and the staff is super gentle!
The coffee here is served with coconut chips which I love! I’ve been trying some coconut coffees around Da Nang, but for sure, this is one of the greatest places to try it!
