シンガポールの屋台街
先日シンガポールに行ったときに行った屋台が連なる場所、通称「ホーカーズ(hawkers)」のご紹介です。
ホーカーズはフードコートみたいなところで色々な店が連なっており、座るところとテーブルも完備されています。地元飯を安く食べるのに観光客にも人気なスポットです。
今回はオフィス街、ビル街のど真ん中にある「Lau Pa Sat Festival Market」というホーカーズに行ってきました。
最寄り駅はRaffles Placeということでまさに高層ビルが立ち並ぶところにあり、初めて行ったときはすごいところにあるなと思いました。
今回はせっかくなのでラクサという地元の麺料理を食べたいなと思い、ラクサを売っているところを見つけて注文。日清のカップヌードルでもラクサ味がありますね。
シンガポールのラクサはココナッツミルクと海老の出汁が効いたスープのローカルフード。
こちらのラクサの味はシンプル。そして辛い。うまい！
ホーカーズは安くご飯を食べられ、こちらは5シンガポールドルでした。それでもホーカーズとしてはいい金額とっていると思います。やはり場所柄ですかね。
まだ何か食べてみたいと思い、中にあるコンビニでタイガービールを買い、先ほどの屋台の隣にあった別の屋台でフライドポークライスを注文。
写真を撮り忘れてしまいましたが、見本とだいぶ見た目が違うなと笑ってしまいました。
こちらも辛い、そしてうまい！
ビールが進む味です。
シンガポールはやはり味付けが辛めなのが多いですね。
値段も先ほどのラクサと同様に5シンガポールドルほど。コンビニのビールは4ドル。
結果日本円して1,200円ほどをホーカーズで使ってしまい、使いすぎたかなと思いながらお腹は大満足。
清掃員がいるのでトレーやごみなどはテーブルに置きっぱなしにして大丈夫です。
食べ過ぎてお腹が苦しかったので、20分ほどかけてマリーナベイサンズまで歩いていき、そのままカジノでカロリーを消費しました。

ラクサ味はなかなか店頭で発見することが難しいですがアマゾンとかで簡単に買えるみたいです！
