A Lunch at Patron Casual Dining
I was reluctant to dine in this restaurant, assuming that the prices are high because this is a restaurant inside Summit Hotel Tacloban--a new, luxurious three-star hotel in our city. Yet, surprisingly it isn't that expensive!
We ordered one serving of salt and pepper squid, which cost P230 (4.30 USD), chopsuey (a vegetable dish) which cost P140 (2.40 USD), and seafood tinola which cost P380 (6.80 USD)--braised assorted seafood, in a fish stock and a medley of vegetables.
I love the salt and pepper squid the most, but this is a little spicy and my little one couldn't take it and spat it out. So, a word of caution if you have kids with you.
The chopsuey is also good. The vegetables are prepared right, not overcooked, just the way I like it.
Unfortunately, the seafood tinola has pink salmon, and I am allergic to it. For some reason, I cannot digest it. But my husband says that its good and my son loves it.
Their serving size is good for three to four persons. So the price is not so bad given the ambience, serving size and the taste!
All in all, I'm satisfied with our lunch. I'm sure I am going to tell my friends about salt and pepper squid, as I enjoyed it so much.
