Delicious Local Food NZ Curry House Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Welcome to NZ Curry House @ Wangsa Maju. This is a small Kuala Lumpur Malaysia chain serving mamak food. When I told my friend I needed local dishes for a Tasteem review, this was her choice. I am so glad, since my food was outstanding.
It is huge when you get in here. That area has a buffet, but we were going to eat from the menu.
The breezes coming in were very pleasant.
Over there is a whole other wing to this popular spot.
I took many photos of this water spray apparatus since I was so entranced. You don't feel the water coming down, but it still cools the place off.
My menu photos mostly did not come out, but the prices are reasonable for Kuala Lumpur. 4 RM is $1 USD, to give you an idea. My Murtabak Daging at the top of the roti section is $2.
Of course I got my Kopi Ice. Nice and strong. Behind you see my friend's lime juice drink and her soup.
Whatever soup my friend had, she told me would be too spicy for me. But it looks good.
My friend had a roti order on the side.
I wish my photo did this food justice. It is called Murtabak Daging and I am calling it meat loaf. Daging is beef, and you can also get this made with chicken. I'm so glad I got the beef.
I had a very delicious gravy and raw onions in some kind of sweet pink sauce for condiments. They were both excellent and set off the Murtabak Daging perfectly.

It was dark by the time we left. (Water jets still going.)
But wait! There's more. I could not finish my food and brought it home for later.
This is the half I brought home. I have the condiments too, but out of view. You can see the yummy roti peeled back.
Well, I guess it does not look too much like meat loaf, but it was delicious cold too!
I loved everything about this meal and the restaurant and would go back anytime. They are very close to me and open 24 hours, so I might just get that chance!
