Bob Marlin, spicy Mexican seafood

The last few days in Mexico City we were facing a severe heat, that’s why we were in the mood for something like seafood. So we choose to try Bob Marlin a relatively new place with a really interesting take in sea food.

¡Play ball! All the menú has the food named after baseball, just like the appetizers we ordered. They were named Double Play, and it contained three corn shells with raw fish, a butter shrimp on top and a special salsa.

You will notice that we ordered some tostadas, here in Mexico are very traditional and its kind of a taco but with the tortilla baked or fried but flat. Very similar to a taco from Tacobell but flat.

The first one have a lot of shrimp but in three different textures some raw, some cooked and some dry on top. It was called Screw Ball and it was a party of flavour and textures.

The we have the tostada Jimmy that contained a traditional ceviche which is kind of a salad with raw fish and a lot of lemon. It is very fresh and tasty.

Our last tostada was very similar to the Jimmy but with some fried shrimp on top. That was a mic drop.

To end our delicious meal we asked for a Perfect Game. It was a shrimp quesadilla but sink in a hot sauce. It was delicious but very big and spicy. We loved that but I’m not sure that is for everyone.

We realllly loved this place and we will return. It was also very pet friendly. Our only concern is that it is very spicy, even for Mexican standards. But if you are up for it, then is perfect.
