Fatamorgana. Gelato in the streets of Rome.
One of the best ways to explore Rome or any place in Italy is with a cold gelato in your hand. And in out trip to Italy that is what we basically did.
We were wandering the streets of a neighborhood known as Monti searching for some street art. We found some cute small pieces one of Invader and this little guy.
It wasn’t too hot but over there it doesn’t matter, you need a gelato in your hand. So we ask our phone for a good gelato near us and the result was: Fatamorgana.
They have a lot of shops all over Rome but we just saw the one in this post.
It was already night but we both wanted our ice cream. Over there not everybody speaks English, but we had a lot of experience buying gelato so we asked like this: “Cono gelato due gusti” that means double ice-cream in a cone. It’s not that hard to say but it was fun for us.
I can’t remember all the flavors but I think one was Nocciola (which ins Hazelnut) and maybe vanilla. The other one has pistachio and some chocolate mix.
We really liked this place and gelato was delicious. The place was a little hidden into the little streets and you could see a lot of people going in and out with lots of gelato, so I think it was a good place.
In front of the place there’s a little plaza where you can sit and enjoy your gelato or you can just keep walking as we did.
