"Exotica" Snack Corner
This is a small street shop with a juice corner, snack corner and fast food corner. Being next to the Vishal Mart, the only supermarket in this street, this small shop attracts many. Mainly for an evening coffee or "chaat".
I love wraps, as a snack or a meal. So, that is the one thing I try from every place when I first visit. This is how the “Exotica chicken egg roll” looked like. Pretty normal like any other ones, but it was very soft. Like, Imagine Joey explaining his favorite food, or Ross explaining the moist maker. It was something like that.
A few bites into it, the taste of the oil started to kick in, and I am not a fan of it. But, otherwise the roll tastes good. Today, I tried Egg-Chicken-Noodles from there. It was good with soft chicken pieces and perfectly cooked noodles and egg. But not the oil part though.
There are only a few places I trust for eating Pani puris and every city has one listed as “safe”. Exotica is the one in Sahakar Nagar for me. And the huge crowd in the evening with many regulars also prove that is correct.
See the Menu boards, this is mandatory in Karnataka. That you should have things also mentioned in Kannada. For a small shop like this, they have a lot of options for a quick bite or drink.
Fresh fruits are also kept in store for making juice on demand as well as bottled cold drinks. What I love the most are these small snack bars like chikki and cookies. They are just for Rs.5 each and makes a good combination for my evening tea or Coffee.
I believe in rating street food shops depending if it makes you sick or not and Exotica for sure pass the test. In the evening, the whole place gets more crowded and all the seats get filled up.
