Street food, Rujak Salak Pliek U
Rujak Salak Pliek U is known as one of the special foods originating from Bireuen, Aceh. Basically this food is very simple, it was told that it used to be the food of the people in the village to try to improvise. The fruit used is only salak fruit only.
While the seasoning is indeed typical of Bireuen, precisely in the Jangka subdistrict. Pliek U is indeed a term production, Bireuen district, fermented coconut fruit is known as one of the ingredients of traditional vegetable seasonings in Aceh - Gulai Pliek U. While the rest is only made from cayenne pepper, brown sugar and mangoes.
