While I was on vacation with my girlfriend in Acqui Terme, we decided to go visit Barolo city, famous for its excellent wine all over the world, but first we went in search of a restaurant for celiacs, thanks to AIC (Italian Celiac Association) smartphone app we found ourselves wandering through the Piedmont hills surrounded by a beautiful landscape, of which in the cover photo you can see it directly from the restaurant's outdoor veranda.

Mentre mi trovavo in vacanza assieme alla mia compagna ad Acqui Terme, abbiamo deciso di recarci a visitare la città di Barolo, famosissima per il suo eccellente vino in tutto i mondo, prima però siamo andati alla ricerca di un ristorante per celiaci, grazie all'applicazione per smartphone dell'AIC (Associazione Italian Celiaci) e ci siamo ritrovati a vagare per le colline Piemontesi attorniati da uno splendido paesaggio, del quale nella foto di copertina potete vedere il paesaggio direttamente dalla veranda del ristorante.

After an hour travel withe our car, that you can see in the left of the picture above, between vineyards held excellently and a cloudy sky at the right point to further accentuate a marvelous landscape, we reached our destination. We arrived just before noon and the place was still empty, I took the opportunity to take some shots inside and outside the restaurant, an ideal situation to not put the customers who arrived a little later in embarrassment and make comfortable pictures without obstacles.

Dopo un'oretta di viaggio in macchina, che potete vedere a sinistra nella foto sopra, nel mezzo di vigne tenute eccelsamente ed un cielo nuvolo al punto giusto per accentuare maggiormente un meraviglioso paesaggio siamo giunti a destinazione. Siamo arrivati poco prima di mezzogiorno ed il locale era ancora vuoto, ne ho approfittato per scattare qualche foto dentro e fuori al ristorante, situazione ideale per non mettere in soggezione i clienti che sono arrivati poco dopo e fare così scatti comodi senza ostacoli.

The tables were all set in the same way with a wine glass in the center with a yellow flower inside.

I tavoli si presentavano tutti apparecchiati allo stesso modo con un calice da vino al centro con all'interno un fiore giallo.

Shortly after they brought us the menu on which there were not too many dishes but they seemed to be well selected and most contained local products, the presence of truffles in the area was able to enhance it more, this area is located a few kilometers from Alba, the truffle city par excellence.

Poco dopo ci sono stati portati menu in cui non c'erano tanti piatti ma sembravano essere ben selezionati e la maggior parte contenevano prodotti locali, la presenza di tartufi nella zona è stata in grado di valorizzarlo maggiormente, questa zona si trova a pochi chilometri da Alba, la città del tartufo per eccellenza.

Without asking anything, we were brought two dishes with two slices of delicious fassone's meat, my girlfriend does not eat meat and could not taste it, while I had double ration.

Senza chiedere nulla ci sono stati portati due piatti con due fettine di deliziosa carne di fassone, soltanto che la mia ragazza non mangia carne e non ha potuto così assaggiarla, mentre io ho avuto doppia razione.

We both ordered an appetizer and a first dish, knowing already that we were not big eaters, I opted for the Piedmontese-Raw meat tartare seasoned with truffle, scraped directly by the cook, which when I stopped reached 4 grams, my girlfriend instead has started with the Vegetable cheese fondue flan. I will tell you that the meat was delicious, soft and delicate, a sweet taste with a touch of roughness typical of truffles, even my girlfriend was really satisfied with her appetizer.

Abbiamo entrambi ordinato un antipasto ed un primo, sapendo già di non essere dei grandi mangioni, io ho optato per la Battuta di vitello alla piemontese condita da Tartufo grattato direttamente dalla cuoca che quando ho fermato eravamo giunti a 4 grammi, la mia ragazza invece ha iniziato con un Flan di verdure con fonduta. Vi dirò che la carne era a dir poco deliziosa, soffice e delicata, un gusto dolce con un tocco di ruvidità tipico del tartufo, anche la mia ragazza si é detta davvero soddisfatta del suo antipasto.

As first I took a great classic of the place, Risotto with porcini mushrooms, very good, perhaps the only flaw was that risotto had been sautéed in a bit too much and was burnt, but I was sorry about it anyway. My girlfriend got the butter and sage Tajarin (typical pasta with eggs) with Tartufo, she limited herself to two grams and was extremely satisfied with the practically perfect mix between those elements.

Come primo ho preso un gran classico del posto, Risotto ai funghi porcini, buonissimo, unica pecca forse, il risotto era stato fatto soffriggere un pelino troppo e risultava bruciacchiato, non che mi sia dispiaciuto comunque. La mia ragazza ha preso i Tajarin (pasta tipica locale all'uovo) al burro e salvia conditi da tartufo, lei si é limitata a due grammi ed era estremamente soddisfatta del mix praticamente perfetto tra gli elementi.

As often happens I have thrown the receipt in the garbage, we spent around 60 euros, not too expensive considering the food quality and the type of restaurant in which we ate, where once you finished eating you were taken off the plate and when we finished the first bottle of water without even asking, the second was taken to us immediately, no wine (unfortunately) although it was the perfect area to try it, but since my girlfriend had to drive I was in solidarity with her and I didn't limit myself to water. Really welcoming staff, spectacular area and great food, I would say that in conclusion I can only consider myself more than satisfied with that choice.

Come spesso mi capita ho buttato lo scontrino, abbiamo comunque speso circa 60 euro, neanche troppo caro considerato la qualità del cibo e la tipologia di ristorante nel quale abbiamo mangiato, dove appena finito di mangiare ti veniva tolto il piatto e quando abbiamo finito la prima bottiglia d'acqua senza neanche chiedere ci é stata portata immediatamente la seconda, niente vino (purtroppo) nonostante sia stata la zona perfetta per provarlo, ma visto che la mia ragazza doveva guidare sono stato solidale con lei e non mi sono limitato all'acqua. Personale davvero accogliente, la zona spettacolare e ottimo cibo, direi che in conclusione non posso che reputarmi più che soddisfatto della scelta.

The restaurant's name is a word pun with the "wind rose", in this case being in the middle of "Langhe", a land which is home to many vines, the word "wind" has been replaced with that "wines", choice make the name particularly unique, in fact, searching it on internet is the only result of the research.

Il nome del ristorante é un gioco di parole effettuato con la "rosa dei venti", in questo caso essendo il locale immerso tra le Langhe, terra di che ospita moltissimi vitigni, la parola "venti" é stata sostituita con quella "vini", scelta che risulta azzeccata in quanto ne rende il nome particolarmente unico, facendo una ricerca del ristorante su internet difatti risulta l'unico risultato della ricerca.
