Nasi Soto Ayam Ambengan - Indonesian Breakfast (印尼早餐)

Hello friends! I would like to share my yesterday’s breakfast experience which was amazing for me. Guess what? I found a food treasure near me, a food stall that sold East Javanese authentic food, actually the store was only sold 2 kind of the food, but I loved it much.

Here was the food stall

It was located in front of Blok M Square Berlian Lobby, South Jakarta. It only sold Nasi Soto Ayam Ambengan (rice served in a bowl with chicken soto, Ambengan actually was a name of a street which is located in Surabaya, East Java) and Nasi Rawon (rice served in a plate with black beef soup).
The unique thing was the food stalls here were all only sold within 05.00 – 08.30 am, so they only served the breakfast.

The seller prepared the food in a modified old car.

Yesterday, we tried Nasi Soto Lamongan. The sellers prepared them fast.

Here what we ordered.

Nasi Soto Lamongan would be more delicious to be completed with some chilli sauce, a bit lime water and OF COURSE, koya. Koya actually is an authentic thing in Soto Lamongan, made from the main ingredient garlic, the flavor was savory. Nasi Soto Lamongan which we ordered were great, it was contained of the rice under the bowl and soto on its top, the soto contained soun (white noodle),egg, chicken, beansprout leek and celery. I really love the savory flavor of the soto, but also I put sweet soy sauce, chilli, koya and lime water so I could have many flavors in my soto. The soto was amazing, I felt like I was going back to eat in East Java yesterday.

We ate near the seller, with the table connected to the car.

With the deliciousness and the good service, and of course affordable price (It was only 14,000 IDR for each Nasi Soto Lamongan), we would come again here soon.
