Enjoying delicious Chinese food
Since today is Saturday, we have some free time to go out and eat while watching Germany vs Sweden in the World Cup.
This is the front of the Chinese restaurant:
When entering, we found this little Buddha statue greeting every customer.
While we were waiting for the food, we noticed they have nice decorations all over the place, like this cool paintaing.
And here is another one with Buddha's face.
The food we ordered was great, this is chicken with a bitter sweet sause, which is one of the most delicious specialties of this restaurant.
We also ordered chinese fried rice, chinese lumpia and mixed vegetables.
Everything tasted great and it was affordable, we will probably return in the coming weeks.

I like Chinese food!

Chinese food is one of the few things that I (kind of) miss these days. It's impossible to find in Portugal, outside of the big cities. Then again, Chinese food in The Netherlands is rarely 'Chinese' food it's mainly Indonesian. I'm not sure about Venezuela, but in Europe, every country adapts the so called 'Chinese' cuisine so it fits the taste of its countrymen. The worst Chinese food I had, was in Ireland ( 2000 ). It was cooked by an Irish woman and didn't taste like Chinese ( or Asian ) food at all.
P.S. What I like the most at these restaurants is the fish tanks.
I have heard the same, I don't think this is adapted, but I have been told Chinese people here don't like to eat in Chinese restaurants. So the food must be different than what they eat in China. But it is still called Chinese food.
I don't know who was the person cooking this meal, the owner was Chinese though.
