Restaurant Ipoh Tasty?!

First of all, I'm from Ipoh. Ipoh town(they call it a city with population of less than 1mil, HAHA), yeah it was a very rich tin mining town back then, and Chinese there are majority combination of Cantonese and Hakkah, and therefore their food is somewhat unique. You know fusion food between different country, different race. But Ipoh food, is cross accent fusion.

So, I was busy settling with the kids and house chores, by the time I sit back down and prepare to do my blog post, suddenly my yesterday post regarding last week meet, triggered me today I have an important task to do! Be the #teammalaysia guy to welcome our very own @louis88 ! Quickly I dropped a message to @redpalestino and setup a dinner meetup and here we are at the Ipoh restaurant. Ofcourse we can't afford to travel all the way 2 hours just to have dinner there in Ipoh, so this is one the closest to Ipoh taste I've tried. You Kuala Lumpur lads, don't complain! I know you need to go to Ipoh and they put shit in your mouth you'll still say it's tasty. This one in Petaling Jaya, you're probably going to say they taste less "compatible" to the ones in Ipoh. To me, I don't give a flying fnck, they taste alright, almost original!

Here's my noodle. Aside to that is beancurd crackers and the tofu puff, many of you may not know what is a tofu puff. I think this is one of the craziest thing Ipoh lads does, they put the tofu into the frying pan, fry it for awhile until the skin become yellowish, cut the tofu at the center, and then flip the tofu skin inside out so the outer fried layer now become inside, and the inside now outside make it like a pouch. And then stuff fish paste into the tofu pouch, and send it for deep fried again. It's just simply marvelous.

Blow me, we got stuffed eggplant, stuffed ladyfinger, stuffed tofu, fish ball, every possible Ipoh style finger food is available here! @redpalestino is having some good time with his Chee Cheong Fun, as I explained to him, Chee is Pig, Cheong is intestine, Fun is noodle. However, that whole thing is made of rice flour, so nothing to worry about. It was called that name simply means the Chinese made it taste like it. I will leave @respalestino to decide whether he wants to review what he had later.

I didn't manage to snap a photo of @louis88 spicy curry noodle, but I guess it wasn't so bad after all. He still manage to finish like haf of it.

Mrs.Red join us half way and still too early for her to dinner, so she was suffering the whole time listening to 3 of us #steem #talking about the small #steemfest here in Petaling Jaya.

And finally the bill came RM58.20 . Was it expansive? Comparing to when it is in Ipoh, yes ofcourse ours is more expansive. The reason I put IS is because the price isn't really expansive, considering this is Petaling Jaya. I don't wanna waste 4 hours of my life just to drive 200km all the way up north. That wraps up our noodle dinner and we shall meet again immediately tomorrow!
