Not a contraceptive pill !!!
It's valentine's day today, we're having hard time to find a place for dinner, and ended up come here for dinner at "THE MORNING AFTER". What does "morning after" meant to you? That's right, brunch! This used to be our brunch hangout place over the weekend, but today special event due to restaurants everywhere are pack. So we came to The Morning After at the Ativo for our dinner.
They have a dine in promotion for all main course meal to free with a drink or a soup. Well, very clever isn't it? When you have the soup, you'll have to order the drink. If you have a drink, you don't need the soup anyway. And cream soup aren't cheap per se.
And also more promotion, when you order a cake or pastry, you can get a cup of coffee at 50% off.
The big girl ordered a plate of sausage and omelet, however she doesn't want the egg having other stuff, so we requested for a scramble egg instead.
Was it good? I'll let the picture do the talking. Teenager at this age will go against every thing you wished them to agree you with. So, the comment is, "it was alright", and judging by the speed she finishes the whole plate, I think it's very much like above average than "it was alright".
And then I have my big breakfast. Trust me this is the 1/2 portion size of what they originally has to offered previously. Used to be big brunch with an extra pouch egg, extra ham, extra sausages and extra bread.
I also ordered this fried oyster mushroom. We all know this is only mushroom, but I guess how they fry it makes it stand out. Mushrooms are juicy from the inside, but crunchy from the outside. Dip these stuff into the tatar sauce and it will melt your face. Absolutely awesome.
And came ex-girlfriend a.k.a LazyMom @francesaw ordered fish and chips. Portion is quite generous, 3 pieces of fish steak is consider a lot.
And we ordered a bowl of bolognese for the little boss. At first, he seems doesn't like it, and it got us all worried. Luckily, after first bite, approved!
And today's free soup that came together with the fish and chips, they taste and smell does ok, but its a little too salty to my liking.
The cake range has very limited choice of cakes, I tried some of their chocolate berry cakes previously, but they don't have it today, so I skipped that.
There's this corner here right by the pillar. Both of them are having some fun and drawing there. They're having loads of fun using the table lamp(which our house doesn't have one).
I'm glad we came to this place, had a blast this evening and forget about the commercial reason of why celebrating valentine's day. Feel free to checkout their website and menu if you're going to crash in for a quick brunch.
