WTF? Where's the food? Second floor?

Does anyone say second floor must be on the second floor? This one is definitely not. For the first time, I thought I got to the wrong place where the restaurant name is "Second floor", and it's not anywhere near to 2nd floor. The main restaurant is on the Ground Floor and there are extra seating place at the Mezzanine. So, there's not second floor cafe on the second floor.

The way they setup a cozy waiting place at the walk path, clearly stated during peak hour there will be crowd that fill the place up and customers may just have to sit here and wait for their turn.

It's a very "young" cafe as the decoration is very "young", and the fairly school feel kind of Mandarin speaking, makes me forgotten I was once a high school kid some twenty over years ago.

I know I'm supposed to make photoshot for the cakes at their perfect shape, did I not mention to you my house are full of inconsiderate monsters, particularly those juniors. They just don't care. For a second I was reaching out my pocket grabbing my phone, I already shouted at them not to cut the cake, by the time the camera was properly focused, there's once corner gone and there's a clean cut on the topping already. Anyway, if you're in Malacca, I don't know why this is the place where you can find all the best Mille Crepe in Malaysia. The recipe, was it originally from France?Those who have first hand experience with original recipe, do come and verify it. The layering cake makes it really easy to bite, and layering cream and blueberry fillings are not too sweet. For every bite, it felts like something to bite, but they melt in the mouth. Gave the kind of mind bending sensation.

We decided to order another piece of Kahlua Tiramisu Cheese Cake. I know it's fusion to the max. I knew it because I make good Tiramisu. We chose this simply because they spell the Kahlua as Kahula, and we wanted to taste how bad could it be. But we're proven wrong on our perception. The cake we received was totally out of our expectation. The top part of the cake has a very solid layer of cheese, and the cheese were topped with a thin layer of rich chocolate. The bottom part were properly flour mixed chocolate cheese. And the base, I guess it's a mixture of coffee cookies that soaked with Kahlua liqueur. The taste is amazing, and it sort of make me feels drunk. Again, this is not anywhere near to a Tiramisu, but a perfect piece of solid baked cheese cake with a dash of coffee and cocoa taste. So far, this restaurant almost makes everything wrong! But in a good way!

The chocolate shake we ordered, was also totally out of our expectation. For RM9.90, we weren't expecting such good quality milkshake. The very first moment I took a sip, immediately it blew my mind with the thick and rich chocolate taste. If you have a tub of ice cream, put it into a blender and blend it to liquid, suck it and that's what you'd be expecting. Crazy shit!

Ex-girlfriend a.k.a LazyMom ordered a Latte, and came a cup of coffee with coffee art. I don't know how much you guys love milk, but latte is supposed to have a bigger part of milk than coffee, this taste more like a good cup of cappuccino instead. So, its a failed Latte, but it's a freaking good cup of cappuccino!

Here's the bill. For RM50.60, I'm sure there are much more restaurants that offer a cheaper price than this one, but for the quality I received from this restaurant, I'm giving it second chance. I will be back for other cakes!

Here's a panoramic view of the restaurant. Notice there's an open sided area, that's because this restaurant has a mezzanine. Environment is quite clean, but don't expect to be quiet. The time we had our cakes and coffee here was already 11pm, and there are still a crowd!

Here's the Mezzanine floor. Notice there's this calligraphy signboard there? It's one of the oldest traditional Chinese word you can imagine. There you have it. The mind blowing crazy second floor coffee shop that doesn't have a 2nd floor. Cake taste marvelously good, coffee menu was wrong(a latte that taste more like a perfect cappuccino), and the chocolate milk shake that tastes like a blended ice cream.
