Patin Pasu - authentic Malay Cuisine
This a place I'd recommend people to go to for authentic Malay food. The cook on the food is really good and tasty although I felt like the portions were a little on the small side comparing it with the price.
The food however was tasty enough to justify the meal and yes, I'd go there again anytime of the day. It's open for lunch and dinner so it's a place that time is of your convenience.
Here are some of the items me and a friend of mine ordered over dinner.
Kangkung belacan - which is a type of watercress that's cooked with a shrimp paste chili sambal. This one is topped with fried shallots.
Telur Bistik - a fried omelette that's topped with a tomato-y sauce with chicken and other vegetables like peas and corns.
Patin Goreng - Fried patin fish that is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Patin is a type of catfish and is very popular locally. This place served it with a dark soy and chili sauce dip.
Here are some pics of the place and it's menu

We call that kangkong as well. I like that cooked in soy sauce or added to soup based meal.
