Tasty Vegetarian Italian
Sometimes the menu offers delicious meat dishes at the same price as vegetarian dishes. It can be tempting to go for it, but at this Italian restaurant we made the right choice picking two vegetarian options. Welcome to Picantino Restaurant
Decorated jist like Italy
The restaurant was decorated very nicely. I've never been to italy but the setting reminds of it. They had decorations of things and photos which we could identify as being from Italy.
English menu?
For the first time in a while, we encountered an English menu. So awesome since we didn't speak any Bulgarian.
Appetizer
We got a little plate of cheese buns and garlic butter as a starter. They looked a bit burned but very delicious still!
Eggplant Lasagna and Cannelloni
The first dish is grilled eggplants stacked together in a tomato sauce. It was super tasty and flavoured so nicely. Italian dishes always do the best tomato sauce.
The next dish we shared together was a spinach and cottage cheese filled Cannelloni. It is hard to see the filling because the cheese is completely covering it. There was two portions so we could share easily.
Overall
We really enjoyed our time at the restaurant. It was relaxing and we had delicious food. The price was not so bad. The items in the menu ranged from 7-12 Liev, that is roughly $4-7 US!
