Bairrada Churrasqueira Bar & Grill
After having lunch at Bairrada Churrasqueira today I couldn't help but make my first Tasteem post. It is a Portuguese restaurant located in Toronto. The main image is a collage from their website you can notice they have a gorgeous outdoor patio-perfecting for watching football (especially Porto) on a nice summer day or relaxing with friends. It's obviously closed for the season but we've had a few great times there and it is one of my favourite restaurants in the city.
This is the open part of their kitchen where they do the roasting. They have classic Portuguese dishes including many types of seafood and grilled meats menu. Today we went for the classic Frango no Churrasco (barbequed chicken.)
I was with a large party today so we had a buffet set up just for us to save time on ordering multiple meals. The chicken there is cooked to perfection and you can add fresh peri-peri sauce for an extra kick. We had salad, steamed vegetables and parisienne potatoes (below) as sides.
The first time I went to this restaurant was around 6 years ago, I was walking with a friend and randomly decided to check it out. Both of us being lovers of great food were instantly impressed. I bought lunch for a dozen colleagues today and naturally got to pick the restaurant. We were very impressed and they will definitely get business from us and referrals in the future.
