A trip to Amala Skye

When I newly relocated to Ibadan, I kept hearing about Amala Skye left and right. My colleagues at work would go on and on about it. It didn't end there, when I go for Community Development Service, my group members and friends would continue to talk about how they can't wait for the meting to end so they can get down to Amala Skye.
What was special about this Amala Skye? I couldn't decipher it, I mean, the rave was beyond me.
I finally joined the gang one day and went there.
Amala Skye is actually named Ose Olohun (Yoruba for Thank You Lord/God) but got it's popular name from Skye bank (now bank Polaris) which was directly beside it in Bodija.
They sell other swallow in Amala Skye and even sell rice but the amala is the main thing. Per wrap is #100, you can eat it with efo riro or efo elegusi (vegetables wirh or without melon), but it is most poplularly eaten with ewedu (jute or Corchorus) and gbegbiri (beans soup) with assorted meat.
The meal is usually served in deep plates like this because the soup will be beside it. Here's my plate with assorted meat and of course ewedu (without gbegiri, I find it messy).
Remember I told you I joined a gang for the trip?😂
You should definitely visit Amala Skye if you do visit Ibadan, Oyo state. Their pounded yam is dope too!
