Irish Pub In Essen Germany :Beverages with Friends
I spent 2 years living in Essen Germany and I have to admit , FritzPatricks was the best place to meet with friends over beverages and also a nice meal. Whether it was a football game, a music festival, karyoke and even Irish dancing, there was always something to do there. In the summer you could sit outdoors in the sunshine and laugh with friends while in the winter during Germany's harsh winters you could be nice and cosy in the pub.
It was always packed at the weekends and it was good fun. The best part about this place was that it was a great meeting place. I would go there after work and talk to the bar staff and just have a beer. At the weekend I came with friends. Now that I am back home in Ireland , I go there for special occassions such as the Ruhrfest which takes place in Essen every year.
Fritzpatricks serve pub food and their nicest dish for me was the curry or the coconut chicken. As a snack they do a mean bacon and cheese nachos which is unbelieveable.
Their staff are mostly Irish and Germany but They have every nationality working there and they all have fun which I loved.
They do a mean mojito also.Here is a photo of my friends with beverages of course. We're Irish. Beverages are our motivation.
And then of course the dance music starts later on in the night and many more drinks are had. It is sometimes like the film of the hangover and you piece together the night before by looking at everyones photos. Here are a few of our last night in Fritzpatricks
Anyway this is my first review on Tasteem. It was a pleasure sharing with you. I love my restaurants so I am looking forward to posting more reviews.

Howdy sir blanchy! uh.. isn't a restaurant review supposed to have pictures of food? I don't know, I'm just guessing. But the sound of those nachos sound incredible, too bad there's no photos of them! lol.
The competition was called “beverages with friends” @janton so it was a bar review not a restaurant review. There are plenty photos of the bar 😀.

but hey sir blanchy, how is it going with whaleshares? Everyone says to go to weku but I've heard of some like you going to whaleshares also. Is growth slow there?
Whaleshares growth is fast. I’m on about 2000 already and my vote is worth around 1.50 so it’s good. Whaleshares also have their versions of SMTs set up so it’s doing well and there is no botanical there so it’s better. Weku is the same as Steemit but there’s something about it that I don’t trust . Whaleshares is backed by bitshares so it’s my favourite alternative . What I do is simple . I post on Steemit and just copy and paste over to Whaleshares and weku . It’s amazing the difference between the upvotes . You should try it. They would love you on Whaleshares . And it’s not much more work

The bank holiday weekend in June is the best time to go there Badger. There is a festival called Ruhrfest. I go every year. Come down for an aul drink with me

Love going to foreign countries just to go to the irish pub. It's so funny the way that we all do that across the world. You always seem to meet the best people in them and have to most fun compared to a lot of the local places which can be far more sensible.

Yeah it’s strange that we are drawn to them . First thing on holidays . Where are Irish people? but you are right . We have the best laugh in them and this one was great. Made some great friends there . One of the barmen was a groomsman at my wedding .

Germany is crazy place to party....
I spent the night once, sitting on top of the Berlin wall, -(with my Irish ex g/f, as it happens)..... tripping off our nuts outside a sex club...
Then there was four days of madness at Munich October fest, and several warehouse raves...
They're a mad lot!
Oh the happy memories..
