Australia Food Guide - #21 Pinto Thai, Coolangatta
On the last weekend we got ourself into the right mood for our Thailand Trip in May this year. We went to Pinto Thai in Coolangatta, a small Thai Restaurant with excellent food.
Am letzten Wochenende haben wir uns auf unsere Thailand-Reise im Mai dieses Jahres eingestellt. Wir gingen zum Pinto Thai in Coolangatta, einem kleinen thailändischen Restaurant mit ausgezeichnetem Essen.
It´s both, a restaurant as well as a take away. They have a lot of tables inside which let´s me guess that it can get quite busy in here. The interior is nothing special but we immediately felt very comfortable.
Es ist sowohl ein Restaurant als auch ein Take Away. Sie haben viele Tische im Inneren, was mich vermuten lässt, dass es hier ziemlich voll werden kann. Das Interieur ist nichts Besonderes, aber wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt.
The menu is packed with all the yummy thai dishes. Pad Thai, Thai Curry in any colour and spiciness, Peanut sauce and soups like Tom Yum and Tom Kah.
The staff, a young thai girl was not really friendly but we did it the Thai way and just smiled at her. Unfriendly waiters are no real reason for me to leave a restaurant. At least not before I tried their food. 😁
Die Speisekarte ist mit allen leckeren thailändischen Gerichten gefüllt. Pad Thai, Thai Curry in jeder Farbe und Würze, Erdnusssauce und Suppen wie Tom Yum und Tom Kah.
Das Personal, ein junges thailändisches Mädchen, war nicht sehr freundlich, aber wir taten es auf thailändische Art und lächelten sie nur an. Unfreundliche Kellner sind für mich kein wirklicher Grund, ein Restaurant zu verlassen. Zumindest nicht bevor ich ihr Essen probiert habe.
The kitchen is open and you can see the chef preparing your food what I really liked. We were 3 Person and ordered the following.
Cashew Nut
Stir fried with chilli jam, egg, onion, carrot, broccoli, shallot, cashew nuts and beefPad Satay Sauce
Stir fried with peanut sauce, onion, broccoli, zucchini, carrot, capsicum, shallot and BeefPad Satay Sauce
Stir fried with peanut sauce, onion, broccoli, zucchini, carrot, capsicum, shallot and Chicken
Since it was lunchtime we took the chance to order from the very affordable lunch-menu. Every dish costs only 9,90 $, Rice included.
Water is free of charge, but if you ever tried australian tap water you know that it is not drinkable.
Die Küche ist offen und man kann sehen wie der Koch das Essen zubereitet, was mir wirklich gut gefallen hat. Wir waren 3 Personen und bestellten folgendes.
Cashewnuss
Rühren Sie gebraten mit Chili Marmelade, Ei, Zwiebeln, Karotten, Brokkoli, Schalotten, Cashewnüssen und RindfleischPad Satay Sauce
Gebraten mit Erdnusssauce, Zwiebel, Brokkoli, Zucchini, Karotte, Paprika, Schalotte und RindfleischPad Satay Sauce
Gebraten mit Erdnusssauce, Zwiebeln, Brokkoli, Zucchini, Karotten, Paprika, Schalotten und Hühnchen
Da es Mittag war, haben wir die Gelegenheit genutzt, von der sehr günstigen Mittagskarte zu bestellen. Jedes Gericht kostet nur 9,90 $, inklusive Reis.
Wasser ist kostenlos, aber wenn du jemals australisches Leitungswasser probiert hast, weißt du, dass es nicht trinkbar ist.
However, forget about the water and the not so friendly staff...this place is awesome and I can highly recommend it.
Wie auch immer, vergiss das Wasser und das nicht so freundliche Personal ... dieses Restaurant ist super und ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen.
