Bali Food Guide - #3 Betelnut Cafe, Canggu
The Betelnut Cafe I´m reviewing today is one of the first of it´s kind here in Canggu on Bali. I´m coming to Canggu since 2015 and it was already popular back then. It´s not easy to exist that long here since new restaurants and cafes popping up every week.
Das Betelnut Cafe, das ich heute bewerte, ist eines der ersten seiner Art hier in Canggu auf Bali. Ich komme seit 2015 nach Canggu und es war schon damals beliebt. Es ist nicht leicht hier so lange zu existieren, da jede Woche neue Restaurants und Cafés auftauchen.
It´s a two story building directly at the busy main road which leads to Batu Bolong Beach. There is only limited seating inside downstairs but heaps of tables upstairs.
Es ist ein zweistöckiges Gebäude direkt an der belebten Hauptstraße, die zum Batu Bolong Beach führt. Es gibt nur eine begrenzte Anzahl von Sitzgelegenheiten im Erdgeschoss, aber eine Menge Tische im Obergeschoss.
The Betelnut Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and their menu is huge compared to other restaurants and cafes. It´s always hard to decide what to order as everything tastes good in here. They have awesome wraps, delicious mexican food and healthy salads and smoothies.
Unlike other restaurants here on Bali the government tax and service charge is already included in the price.
Das Betelnut Cafe serviert Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen. Die Speisekarte ist im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants und Cafés riesig. Es ist immer schwer zu entscheiden, was bestellt werden soll, da hier alles gut schmeckt. Sie haben tolle Wraps, köstliches mexikanisches Essen und gesunde Salate und Smoothies.
Im Gegensatz zu anderen Restaurants auf Bali ist die Steuer- und Servicegebühr bereits im Preis enthalten.
We went there for a early dinner and ordered the following.
- watermelon,pineapple and mint juice
- Falafel Bowl (my favorit)
- Garden Wrap with pumpkin and many other veggies. All the wraps come with fries
All together we paid 175.000 Indonesian Rupiah which is around 11,00 € Euro or 12 $ Dollar. It is definitely not the cheapest but compared to other places which serve food like here it´s still affordable.
Wir gingen dort zu einem frühen Abendessen und bestellten das Folgende.
- Wassermelone, Ananas und Minze Saft
- Falafel Bowl (mein Favorit)
- Garden Wrap mit Kürbis und vielen anderen Gemüsesorten. Alle Wraps kommen mit Pommes
Insgesamt haben wir 175.000 Indonesische Rupiah bezahlt, was etwa 11,00 Euro oder 12 Dollar entspricht. Es ist definitiv nicht das billigste, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Orten, die Speisen anbieten, ist es immer noch günstig.
Furthermore the Betelnut Cafe is quite famous for their variety of cakes. Some say they make the best cheesecake on the island. If you´re still hungry after your dinner you should definitely try it.
Darüber hinaus ist das Betelnut Cafe für seine Kuchenvielfalt bekannt. Einige sagen, dass sie den besten Käsekuchen auf der Insel machen. Wenn du nach dem Abendessen noch hungrig bist, solltest du ihn unbedingt probieren.
