STEEM Food Tours #51 Kajang Spicy Soup 加影辣汤
Mention about Kajang, many would know it’s the famous Satay Town in Malaysia , and along with the MRT completion, many tourists from out station would flock to Kajang,a town located southeast of Kuala Lumpur, for Satay and spend 1-day-trip there.
说起加影Kajang, 中马一带的朋友可能都知道那里是马来西亚著名的沙爹之城,而且随着地铁的开通,许多外地的朋友都会乘搭地铁到这吉隆坡东南部小镇吃一吃沙爹等一日游的。
When I return to Kuala Lumpur, I suddenly felt like going Kajang for the satay- there is a medan selera (food court) of which the whole floor vendors are selling satays! But my family counter-proposed to me-why don’t we have a proper meal first then only go for Satay after lunch. And from there I get to know, there is a street in Kajang where most of the shops selling spicy soup.
回到吉隆坡,心血来潮地也想到加影吃一吃道地的沙爹-那里有一个食阁是整个层楼的摊贩都卖沙爹,可是被家人反建议-不如先吃正餐后,再去吃沙爹—原来加影那里也有一处地方是著名卖辣汤的(辣汤我在沙登吃过好几回,可是不知道加影竟然有辣汤一条街!)
The restaurant that we went is Siaw Family’s latest shop
我们去的是加影辣汤世家最新的店面-萧家(国珍)辣汤,我们去的时候,店外还有乔迁花圈呢!
And on the same street, there are 2 more restaurants belonged to Siaws’ family- my family tried the other 2 restaurants, so this time round we decided to give the new restaurant a try.
同一条街上,有着另两间萧家辣汤,其余两家我家人都试过了,所以我们看到新店面亮丽,就选了它。
There was an equipment I felt was perfectly installed in the new restaurant – the air cooler- imagine taking spicy soup under a hot afternoon. Without the cooler, would be such a miserable dining experience.
新店还有一个设备我觉得是必要的,那就是制冷机-大热正午吃辣汤,没冷气会很狼狈。
The signature dish of the restaurant- mainly putting in a lot of white peppers and gingers. The owner of the restaurant told us their white pepper are specially picked from Sarawakian’s white pepper. Why do Sarawakian white peppers are such fragrant in aroma? For this maybe should consult our friends from Sarawak- @janicechua & @kadishakho (In Malaysia & Singapore, Sarawakian white pepper is labelled as top notch pepper)
这就是主角-辣汤-主要是放入许多胡椒粒与姜片,老板说他们是特选东马砂拉越Sarawak的白胡椒粒来炮制的,至于为什么东马砂拉越的白胡椒会特别香,详情可能得问我们@cn-malaysia 的东马特派员@janicechua @kadishakho 了(在新马一带,白胡椒冠上砂拉越就是名牌了)
Next is black vinegar pork trotter, recommended by the restaurant owner

After the spicy soup meal, have to give Kajang Satay a miss as we were too full. I shall come back, Kajang Satay!
吃完辣汤实在太饱了,沙爹就只好留到下次有机会再去品尝了。

终于又看到个人参加Food Tours 我看那个host自娱自乐几十期了 还帮他到处宣传了一下 哈哈
我今天刚看了个spice trail的纪录片 去了印度南部 说到白胡椒和黑胡椒 原来都是同一株
哈哈 就是看到你领奖,才想既然都写美食了,就加多一个美食tag。你指的地图上mark, 是在那里标记?自己的行程计划?

对呀 手机地图上 大马去过好几次 以后肯定还会再去 毕竟处在十字路口 :)
欢迎来马,如果真有去沙爹之城,可以搭MRT 到 stadium kajang站,正对面的Medan Satay Kajang即是了。辣汤就得搭徳士或Grab car 了。

好多的人還不知道為什麼砂拉越的白胡椒是那麼多好吃香濃
那是因為砂拉越的白胡椒是全世界排名第一的特產
其他地方的白胡椒就是少了砂拉越白胡椒的那份特別的胡椒香味
