[Yummy Traveler #32] Feel The Atmosphere of Happiness at Happiness Kitchen & Coffee
PROLOG
Life is not complicated, but the human mind makes it complicated. Can we briefly simplify life as well as to feel happiness?
We really can't buy happiness, but we can buy a plate of delicious treats and warm coffee that can create a feeling of pleasure, turning it into happiness even if only for a moment.
Not just delicious food and drinks served in a dining place, the design of an Instagram-able place is also one of the reasons visitors feel happy.
Happiness Kitchen and Coffee in South Jakarta-Indonesia is a restaurant that can be your choice for dating, and gives a little surprise to your date.
The Design
A romantic vintage place and filled with pop-art, and has a cheap and amazing menu, all these aspects can be found at Happiness Kitchen and Coffee. You can give a touch of happiness to your date, or even if you come alone, you can give rewards to yourself.
OUTDOOR
When visitors first step into this place, visitors will pass through a gate formed from plants. You will feel the atmosphere like being in the Garden Party with the hanging light bulbs.
Before heading to the main door of the main area of the Happiness Kitchen and Coffee building, visitors will pass through the outdoor area. This outdoor spot is very suitable when it is chosen in the afternoon until the evening.
On the wall there is a pop art that says Happiness to reinforce the pleasant atmosphere in this place.
Visitors will feel like they are in their own home that has a beautiful garden and is good for the atmosphere while eating fresh air.
At that time when I came to Happiness Kitchen and Coffee, the day would rain.
The outdoor area is also located behind the restaurant, and near the mosque. Green plants and the application of wood elements make this outdoor area look natural.
INDOOR
The indoor area has more bright colors. On the main wall of the indoor area there are also colorful works of art. This spot is one of the favorite spots for visitors who want to capture their moments on social media.
Industrial touches are seen in complementary chandeliers, and some chairs. Interestingly, this industrial touch is polished with bright colors. It mixes into a touch that is rich in art.
Building materials, tables and benches are dominated by wood elements because they carry a vintage theme. There are also windows in the corners of the room that give the impression of comfort, just like visitors are at home.
MENU
A list of menus presented in Happiness Kitchen and Coffee is found in the menu book which is also interesting, like a good beginning to create happiness.
Visitors can see a variety of interesting foods and drinks on the menu book. Starting from Indonesian food, to Western food. Starting from coffee, tea, juice, ice blend, to moktail.
My Choices
I started with the maincourse at that time for my lunch. I ordered Indonesian food that was rich in spices, chili sauce, and of course the ones that could not be missed were the vegetables in the composition of the menu.
Before the maincourse of my order arrived, the drink I ordered came first. "Es Kelapa Melon Happiness" (Iced Young Cocounut With Melon is beautifully presented).
Es Kelapa Melon
Young coconut ice doused with melon syrup, and equipped with melon pieces, it was the right choice for me to refresh the afternoon at that time.
The garnish uses mint leaves that give a hint of the distinctive aroma of mint leaves.
Don't forget to stir this drink before you drink it so that the sweet taste of coconut water and melon syrup blends perfectly.
Deep Fried Chicken With Sambal Matah
Lets see the beauty of the delicacy of a plate of Indonesian spicy-rich food! Rice is served in a triangular shape with a decoration of pakcoy.
Just imagine, fried chicken served with appetizing chili sauce. Red onion and chili are fresh complementary sauces because the process was previously made with chili sauce, it must be soaked in vinegar solution. Then, lime juice is given.
The chicken's texture is perfectly cooked, with crispy skin. Fried chicken with chili sauce served with boiled water spinach poured with chili sauce. Yeeeeeep, chili sauce, again and again. Indonesian food is actually full of spicy flavor. It's not Indonesian food if it doesn't contain spicy flavor.
It's just that the chicken flavor served by Happiness Kitchen and Coffee feels a little lacking. In my opinion, there is a sour taste caused by excessive use of lime on "Sambal Matah". But overall, there is nothing that makes me not like Deep Fried Chicken with this delicious sauce.
COFFEE TIME!
What is most delicious to do after eating, while relaxing? Of course drink coffee. So I deliberately looked for coffee with a different composition.
At that time I chose to enjoy Charcoal Latte. I am used to enjoying bright colors from lattes like Red Velvet Latte and Taro Latte. Then, at that time, try the sensation of the dark color Charcoal Latte.
It feels quite unique, with a taste that is not too sweet. For the record, you must be careful and pay attention to your appearance after drinking this Charcoal Latte. Your lips and teeth will look black because of charcoal in this drink. :D
CONCLUSION
I spent a long time at Happiness Kitchen and Coffee at that time. From the start the sun shines brightly, until the day becomes night, because this place is really comfortable.
For those of you who want to find a good place to date, while saving money, you can choose Happiness Kitchen and Coffee.
The design of the place is beautiful, and the dishes will make visitors have time to feel happiness even if only for a moment. Enjoy your time and feel the simple happiness with Happiness Kitchen and Coffee.
