[Culinary - 03] - Warung Sego Nusantara - for the real Indonesian Rice Lovers
For Asian generally, and Indonesian people specifically, most of them will say that rice is their favourite food! They will say that they were not having lunch or dinner yet, before they eat rice, even though they already enjoyed some slices of pizza for instance! Lol. Rice is the most favourite food!
My self, I love rice too, of course. Even though I can subtitute rice with others main food when I traveled to Europe or other countries where rice is not the main food there, but, I will miss this food (rice) a lots, after a week there!
a Recommended Place for You who Love or curious about specific Indonesian Rice Culinary
Yep! This post will show you about a specific cafe in Bandung, who put the rices as their main menu. It provides special and delicious healthy rice recipes from some part of Java. So, if you have a limit time during your traveling here in Java, and has no chance to enjoy some specific rice from Java, you should visit this cafe. And the one that will make you happy is..., it has the flat rate for any kind of the rice menu!
As written on the picture above, "Semua menu RP. 15,000.-/paket" means that each menu is IDR. 15,000.- only. Curious to know them more? Here they are!

Nasi Rendang Padang
Yup, Padang is an area in West Sumatera, and has very well-known delicious meat recipe. It called Rendang. The taste is spicy but/and very delicious!
Nasi Rendang Padang consist of rice, shredded chicken rendang, perkedel (potate dumplings), cassava leaves, gulai, and sambal ijo (the spicy saos from green chili).
Nasi Soto Bandung
This combination represent Bandung, the capital of West Java Province. It has a very fresh taste! It soup (SOTO Bandung) which is evenly poured on the rices make it wet and soaked perfectly into the rice, combined with radish and the spinkling of fried soybeans, make the taste perfectly delicious!
Nasi Uduk Purwakarta
Purwakarta is a district in West Java, who is well-known with its 'nasi uduk'. Nasi uduk is the rice which cooked using coconut milk and some Indonesian spices. In this menu, nasi uduk is served combined with perkedel (potatoes dumpling), fried soun soy sauce, pindang egg and opor tofu.
Nasi Lengko Cirebon
This a special taste represents the North Coast of Java, Cirebon. This rice rich of fiber and vegetable protein. The menu is a combination of warm rice, bean sprouts , tofu, tempe, cucumber, chews, soy sweet sauce and the peanuts sauce as the dressing. Fresh and delicious!
Nasi Ayam Semarang
Semarang is one of a town in Central Java, who has a popular chicken recipe called Opor Ayam Semarang. This rice, is a combination of nasi uduk, shredded chicken opor, egg pindang, tofu bacem and pumpkin gulai.
Nasi Gundul Pati
Pati is another are of Central Java, and well known with its nasi gundul. Usually, this kind of rice is served for breakfast, but also acceptable to consume it during lunch time or dinner. It has delicious taste, and of course, here, in Sego Nusantara resto, the price is only IDR. 15,000.- Yeaayy!
Nasi gundul pati is served as the combination of warm rice, gravy and its meat, egg pindang dan of course fried tempe. How does it taste? Delicious! You should try this one! Don't forget to also add
Well, we already have all the rice menu for this month. The owner of this resto said that he and his team will add more specific rice of Nusantara (Indonesia) soon, to make it more various. Wow!

The Full Menu at Warung Sego Nusantara
There are some Indonesian special drinks availabel as well, such as bandrek and wedang jahe. If you are a foreigner, I recommend you to try this one before you go home! It is so so tasty! Especially in the evening, during the rain. Believe me! :)
Note:
As this cafe is just started up, of course, the place has a small space, so for you who willing to stay longer for work, or just doing some work on your laptop or gadget device, you may consider to find another cozy place.
This cafe at this moment, is not provided a large space yet. Hopefully it will be upgraded soon, so the guest will be able to enjoy its delicious food while also having the moment to work online as well. :)

I do not understand the ingredients, but it looks so natural and inviting. Natural foods are the best for the body, as the nutrients are released directly and are preserved for active performance in the body. I see rice and some green leaves but the other I don't understand.
Hi, thanks for visiting and comment. Yes, most of the ingredients in these menu are natural foods. Beside the green leaves, they are from chicken, tofu, tempe (soy beans) and some others. :)
