Quench Your Taste in Christ
Ho, everyone that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that had no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isaiah 55:1
CHRIST JESUS is the water. Every human has a gap that must be filled. Unfortunately, people fill this gap with erotic love, smoking, drinking euphoria (feeling of anxiety) and lots more. But this gap, this thirst was meant to be filled by Agape love of CHRIST which cannot be bought. A sincere answer to the filled gaps, with other things apart from Agape love of CHRIST is unsatisfactory. If you and I must fill our gap and quench our thirst, we must do so with the love of CHRIST. It is practical! give yourself to everyday devotion, to prayer and Bible study and experience the satisfaction of the filled gap with the Agape love of CHRIST.

Our Father, we thank you for your word. Please forgive us for filling our gaps and quenching our thirst with other things, other than the Agape love of CHRIST. Please cleanse us with JESUS precious BLOOD. PRECIOUS HOLY GHOST, we appreciate that you reveal this knowledge to us, help us walk in this knowledge in JESUS CHRIST mighty name. AMEN.
Thanks @edosweet. This reminded me a bit of Richard Rolle's book "The Fire of Love". He was a Christian in England many centuries ago. What reminded me of his book from this is what you describe as the things people put in place of Jesus' love. There are counterfeits and a person must be helped by faith in confusing times to be reminded of what is true.
