Ok, let me attempt to break down some of the symbolism. You have the sacred masculine and feminine denoted by gender and by left/right. The sun, star, and moon are segregated at the top, which respresents the higher forces from the All - which call us up into higher consciousness. The bird is a representation of the link to these forces, which is delivering them to us. The man and the woman have crossed the spiritual division by exchanging roses. They have mastered both sacred principles, in doing so, they don the golden crown (higher consciousness.) Im sure there are others I am missing. I really enjoyed this piece!
thank you! I heavily used the reference from the alchemical drawings I left the link to, but I did also notice that the crowns on their heads both have 3 spires which to me means they are both inner monarchs (thoughts emotions actions)... and also I think it really shows the first 2 triangles of the tree of life - in that da'at is represented by the bird-rose and then the second triangle which is 3, 4, 5 (according to Lord Osiron) - The Empress, The Emporer and the The Heirophant- The Queen, The King and The Waters of the Hexagramic Pool is the Empress giving over her son to his new bride...
