The Fool, Magician, The High Priestess and the Empress. A tarot poem about pairings. (Part 1)
The Fool is first in place,
Beside him sits the Magician,
With a spread of victory on his face,
The fool made the right decision.
But is this the rightful case,
Has the magician cast a spell?
In order to know the real fate,
The third card shall all but tell.
The Fool again sits in the first place,
Next to him the High Priestess,
She holds her head in a righteous place,
Forcing the fool to confess.
Her wisdom and knowledge is second to none,
And the fool is aware,
That if he takes this golden chance,
His soul will be left bare.
The releflection of his soul he holds.
Only time will tell,
With the next card, the story is told,
Will he go through heaven or hell?
The Fool again stands at the start,
Standing before the Empress,
The Empress embraces a nurturing heart,
Loving under the greatest duress.
She loves the fool and all his brings,
To develop her homely life.
She awaits a life with homely things,
A life without any strife.
The following card will show a sign,
Of truth from the fool,
Depending on whether he’s bad or good,
The Empress could crumple or the empress could rule.
Notes:
I read the cards right way up, no reversing in these examples.
Magician is card of success, particuarly in business, skills and study, but it can relate to other areas of life. If paired up with a more cunning card, like the devil for example it could dictate someone who manipulates to get what they want. However if you have the Fool, Magician and the World (most positive card in the deck) then its the best decision you have made!
The High Priestess is always about your inner self, looking internal for answers. When she appears she asks you take a good look at yourself. if she appears before another card then she is showing that you have acted on your inner need and the other cards will dictate whether its the right choice. I really like to see the High Priestess and the world together. Ultimate togetherness.
The Empress can be known as a symbol of fertility and, particuarly with the Ace's or the sun, it also represents the home so look out for wands around this card (Particulary 4 wands if your looking to move) The fool adds an element of surprise, something unexpected, a house move, child, relationship?
I will be blogging poems from all the other pairings and major arcana’s and suits. To add third card match as you go along you should see how they fit.
Next blog is The fool, the Emperor, Hierophant and the lovers. This is for entertainment only! Enjoy!
