This dog is adoptable. All animals listed as “adoptable” by TARC have completed fourteen days of intake quarantine and either have been or will be at the time of adoption fully vaccinated, dewormed, sterilized, and microchipped. They have been carefully monitored for behavioral issues and deemed extremely low risk for average households. We never recommend placing dogs in homes with small children unless the parents are experienced pet owners and understand the added complications. If you're interested in adopting one of our dogs posted here, please fill out our adoption application and mention that you saw the dog on our Steemit blog. Long-distance adoptions are possible, but we will need to work with a humane organization in your area to facilitate it, and cost of transport will be the adopter's responsibility.

Hi! My name is Reba. I’m a hound mix, most likely Basset and several something-elses. I might be three years old, but a real lady never tells her true age. I weigh forty pounds but should probably weigh thirty. A real lady never tells her exact weight, either. So that’s all I shall say on the matter.

The rescue lady got me from a kill shelter almost two years ago. I had never been around people and was terrified. Scared dogs like me don’t get adopted from shelters, so I was a super-urgent case.

It took me a long time to start feeling lucky and happy about being rescued. Even then, I only showed my true personality with rescue lady. Then other people came around, and I got used to them, too. Now I’m pretty happy with everybody. These days I’m learning to walk on a leash properly and be friendly to strangers. I do very well in a crate and am low-energy, so I’d make a good apartment dog. I’m also good with calm children and have never met a dog I didn’t get along with.
