India's tour.....Smoky Flavoured Tea....

One might have heard of tandoori chicken or tandoori roti but in Pune-based tea sellers are attracting people with their unique 'tandoori chai'. A tea made with a special recipe and poured into a hot kulhad (clay cup) has become the talk of the town in the past couple of days in the city.
So today i tried the same.Here is the recipe.

INGREDIENTS:
2-inch piece fresh ginger, cut into thin rounds
cardamom
water
tea leaves
1 cups whole milk
sugar
clay pot (kullad)

PREPARATION
Turn on the flame and put a pan on gas stove. Add 1 cup of milk and 1/4cup water into it. As we are preparing smoky flavoured tea we need to heat a clay(kullad) on the flame. Kullad should be washed and dry before use. Keep changing the position of kullad to heat in all way.

On the other side add ginger and cardamom to the milk after boiling.
Now add 1tbsp of tea leaves and 1 tbsp of sugar.Let it boil for 1-2 min on low flame.Once the tea is ready remove it form the stove and stain the tea..Now put the hot clay pot into a pan.

Pour the hot tea into and all over the clay pot.
Take it out in a serving kullad or cup..Its ready to serve :)
