Contest Submission ... How to Become a Talented Hunter

This post is in response to the contest, Contest - How To Become A Talented SteemHunter | 250 STEEM Giveaway, initiated by @rosatravels & @steemhunt.

Steemhunt has become the most popular dApp on Steem Blockchain over the period of one year. Not only Steemhunt grow bigger, better and popular itself but it has been also helpful for its community members to grow exponentially on the blockchain, I am one of them.

Even though, it is only one of the products from the team of HUNT Platform, it has already turned into a complete platform in itself, that is providing a sufficient amount to a lot of people which, I am sure, covers a reasonable part of their monthly expenditures.

Many new users are joining and getting registered with Steemhunt on a daily basis (These users are called HUNTERS) and, no doubt, it is necessary for them to learn some basic rules and would be provided with basic guidelines for their journey towards becoming a talented hunter ... at least, guidelines for their starting point.

Posting Guidelines & A Talented Steem Hunter...

Detailed posting guidelines for Steemhunt can be reached by clicking the above link. However, we'll going through them briefly to understand what to post and how to post.

• Official language of Steemhunt is ENGLISH
• There are many categories from which a product can be hunted and shared on Steemhunt (You can see them all listed in Posting Guidelines (PG2), category of Games is one of them, you must be careful while hunting any game, it needs to keep many factors in mind when hunting a game, that's why there is a seperate guideline (PG7) for this category ... (Remember, these products, in whatever category they lie, must be cool and innovative and are prefered if new as well, or at least not many of the people are aware of their existence)
• Products' Links must be from/of Products' Official Website, AppStore, GooglePlay, KickStarter, Indiegogo, Github, Bitbucket and other authentic sites et cetera are allowed.
• Description of the product must be in hunter's own words (which should be major part of the description) and some words can be used from the official sites, if necessry or needed, in quotes. Otherwise hunt would be de-listed.
• No Duplication ... I normally take two steps to check if product is already hunted, first using Steemhunt search option and second through Google.
• Do not use alt account otherwise you'd be blacklisted. Steemhunt has been making every effort to make the system as clean and transparent as possible.

IMO, anyone, who shared a post on Steemhunt, following Steemhunt's Posting Guidelines, would not only get his/hers Hunt approved, but he/she deserves to be called a talented hunter, and with time, practice and experience, he/she would be one of the top hunters too.

Where to Search Products?

Options for searching a cool & innovative products are limitless and solely depends on one's efforts, internet is more vast than our physical world.

Following are a few sites to getting start with...

1. kickstarter.com
2. betalist.com
3. indiegogo.com
4. reddit.com (Reddit is one of the biggest sources to find a product. Check different sub-reddits e.g. sub-reddits of tech, innovation, blockchain et cetera)
5. Github.com (Use different tags from Hunts to search on Github)
6. news.ycombinator.com (Hacker News)
7. Different News Sites like BBC, CNN, CCN et cetera.

IDEAL STEEMHUNT POST:

I like to see following factors covered in a post shared on Steemhunt...

1. It should cover all the necessary features of the product to understand why this is a cool product and must be upvoted (Keep in mind, there is a limitation of 1000 words on Steemhunt, so sometimes it is not possible, but it should be done as brilliantly as possible)
2. It should contain pictures and/or gifs.
3. Video if available (Sometimes, video is not available on the site, but with a little effort it might be found on Youtube etc)

So far, I have found Steemhunt Community very helping and encouraging, it can be witnessed on Steemhunt's official Discord Server, where new hunters are daily getting help from other community members, moderators, influencers, CM and team members.

New members/users/hunters can consult with them to speed up their journey towards becoming a talented hunter as well.

They should keep visiting #questions, #discussions and #moderation-log channels to understand what problems other hunters are facing and what are the solutions, why a hunt is getting de-listed etc etc.

HUNT TOKEN

I think, HUNT Platform has four products so far. Two of them have been launched, one is in its Pre Signup stage, one has to come.

HUNT Token is one of those products.

On a blockchain if it is important what a platform is offering or what benefits users/visitors (other than registered users, even visitors are getting benefits of knowing new and cool products in one place (Steemhunt) without even a slightest participation on the platform in any form ... product sharing, writing comments, upvoting etc) can get, then it is also important how stable and powerful its coin/token/cryptocurrency is.

HUNT token is the economical building block of Hunt Platform. A mean of payment for the services of the product/marketing influencers. A currency to buy/purchase and fund a product.

Definitely, HUNT token is gonna support the rest of the products/dApps in the same way they will support it for a successful Hunt Platform.

Preparation for ReviewHunt

68 companies have pre signed-up with ReviewHunt with a monthly budget of $588,216, so far...

Now, it is necessary more than ever to polish our writing/speaking/quoting/narrating and other technical skills. It is time for new marketing/product influencers (like me) to be more active on different social media platform, and gain more higher numbers of followers too.

In other words, we need to be professionally strong if we wanna be successful on ReviewHunt.

WHAT MAKES STEEMHUNT DIFFERENT ...

Well, I, myself, had this question in my mind during first 5-6 months after joining Steemhunt.

IMO, mainly that factor is Steemhunt's team, other than cool features of Steemhunt of course. Steemhunt was an idea, cool but not free from weaknesses and flaws, some of them were inherited. Steemhunt's team kept working, thinking, eliminating these flaws & weaknesses, and this is mainly what make Steemhunt different ... Its team's continued efforts to make it better and perfect.

This attitude is gonna make Hunt Platform able to compete with many giants in the same fields and first ever succcessful platform on any blockchian that covers every aspect, necessary to make cool, innovative and new product click.
